KDP fill-in sheet: 2026 Longevity Guidebook, paperback
Updated Wednesday 14 October 2026, 11:00pm Pacific
Short version: Mike and Nick answer questions A and B at the bottom first (the subtitle and edition are reported to lock with the ISBN). Then sign in to KDP yourself, start a paperback, copy each grey box (the green Copy button) into the KDP field with the same name, and get the free ISBN on page 2.
Put the 13-digit number in the box at the bottom of this page and press Send. About 10 minutes. Nothing gets published.
Written Wednesday 14 October 2026, 8:00am Pacific, by KDP-SHEET, a helper of META ADS CREATION. For Mike or Nick, signed in to KDP themselves. About 10 minutes: copy each grey box into the KDP field with the same name, top to bottom.
Why now: the free Amazon ISBN was chosen at 7:45am today. KDP only gives that number inside the paperback setup, and the copyright page (p. 4) and the final build wait on it.
What Mike or Nick does
- Sign in at kdp.amazon.com (your own sign-in; no Claude session ever signs in for you).
- Bookshelf, then + Create, then Create paperback.
- Page 1, Paperback Details: paste the boxes below, then Save and Continue.
- Page 2, Paperback Content: Get a free KDP ISBN, then Assign ISBN (only once the 4 checks below are a yes).
- Type the 13-digit ISBN into the ISBN box at the bottom of the sheet's web page (https://opus-kdp-sheet-2026-10-14.netlify.app) and press Send.
- Stop there: set the print options, click Save as Draft, upload nothing, publish nothing.
The 4 checks before you click Assign ISBN
KDP registers the free ISBN with Bowker using the details on page 1 [2]. Authors report that title, subtitle, author, edition and language grey out once it's assigned, even in a draft (KDP Community, not an official page). A draft that has an ISBN can't be deleted by you, only archived; KDP Support has to remove it [17]. And KDP lets an account create only 2 new paperbacks a week [1]. So get these right first:
- Title reads exactly
2026 Longevity Guidebook, as on the cover. - Subtitle is the one chosen for good. It's the copy chiefs' pick of 13 October, 10:46am;
layout/book.jsonnotes "Mike has not seen it yet." (Question A at the end.) - Author shows as
Opus Longevity, no person (Mike, 13 October, about 10:00am). - Edition number is
1(or empty, if Mike and Nick say so: question B).

The same description for the reviewer, line by line, with where each line comes from:
- Feel stronger, sharper, and more alive with every passing year. This book shows you how. (back cover)
- When an independent 3rd-party lab tested BROQ against the other 20 top-selling sulforaphane supplements, 11 of those 20 delivered less than 1 mg per serving. So the brand you buy decides whether you get the dose that worked. (back cover)
- What's inside: (new)
- The nine bullets: the back cover's nine list lines, word for word, the bold kept. Only the bullet points are new (formatting, no words).
- If you're into longevity, this is the one book to get. (back cover, bold kept)
- Written by Opus Longevity, the makers of BROQ, SPMD-99 and NMN-99. An independent 3rd-party lab tested all three against the other top-selling brands, so you know what's really in them. (the author note in
00-COVER-WORDS.md; question C asks whether it goes in)
Checked against KDP's description rules [8][9]: no web address, email, phone or street address; no reviews, quotes or testimonials; no request for reviews; no price, availability or ordering links; no dates; no emojis; no keyword lists. KDP also bars content "meant to advertise, promote, mislead" [10]: the description describes the book, and the lab line is the book's own Part 1 finding (manuscript/10-supplements-intro.md). The item counts (21, 11, 22, 12, 11, 11, 12, 11) match the numbered headings in the manuscript this morning. The one [8] rule it comes near is "promotional material"; see question C.
Publishing Rights: choose I own the copyright and I hold the necessary publishing rights. KDP may ask for proof of rights after you publish; that review takes about five business days (layout/KDP-SPECS.md, item 4).
Primary Audience
- Sexually Explicit Images or Title: No. You have to answer before you can pick categories [7][9].
- Reading age: leave both boxes empty. It's optional, and KDP uses it for children's and teen books [7][9].
- If the page shows a Large print box, leave it unticked (the body type is 9.5 pt).
Primary Marketplace
Amazon.comYou have to set it before you can pick categories, and it's the store your list price is set in [7][9].
Categories: click Choose categories, then pick by category, subcategory and placement [7]. KDP lets you pick 3 [7].
Health, Fitness & Dieting>Aging>Aging & Longevity. Outlive (Attia) and Protocols (Huberman) sit at the top of this list today.Health, Fitness & Dieting>Nutrition>Vitamins & Supplements. Part 1, the 21 supplements and the 11 more, is half the book.Health, Fitness & Dieting>Aging>Diets & Nutrition. Good Energy, How Not to Age, Young Forever and Forever Strong sit here: the same reader.
The names are Amazon.com's own Books store, read this morning (14 October, signed out) at amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/books/11764645011, /282868 and /6515550011. KDP's picker draws on that store [7]; I couldn't see the picker itself without signing in, so if a name reads a little differently there, pick the one under the same parent. A spare if one is missing: Health, Fitness & Dieting > Nutrition > Antioxidants & Phytochemicals (sulforaphane, spermidine and fisetin fit, but its list today is mostly cookbooks). Categories can be changed any time after publishing [5].
Keywords: one box each, no quotation marks [11].
sulforaphane spermidine NMNbiological age test epigenetic clockhealthspan biohacking live longerrapamycin senolytics NAD IV dripcreatine magnesium omega-3 urolithin Asauna cold plunge red light therapyVO2 max ApoB smart ring CGMEach is under 40 characters (the box shows its own limit; KDP's page names no number) [11]. Following KDP's list of what to leave out [9][11]: no word already in the title, subtitle or author (2026, longevity, guidebook, take, try, brands, trust, science, Opus); no word already in the three categories (health, fitness, dieting, aging, nutrition, vitamins, supplements, diets); no other author or book (no Attia, Huberman, Sinclair, Outlive); no brand we don't own (no Oura, WHOOP, Galleri, Prenuvo, Function Health); no "best", "new", "free", "bestselling", "Kindle Unlimited" or "book". Every keyword names something the book covers. Most have their own chapter or item; "biohacking", "healthspan" and "live longer" describe the book as a whole. If subtitle A2 is picked, take "live longer" out of box 3, since it would then repeat subtitle words. Keywords can be changed any time [5].
Publication Date: choose Publication date and release date are the same (it's a new book) [12]. Locked after publishing [5].
Release Date: leave it on Release my book for sale now. It only matters when someone clicks Publish, and a proof copy comes first (13 October). The other choice, Schedule my book's release, hides the Amazon page until a date up to 90 days out [12]. Later, at publishing.
Click Save and Continue.
Page 2: Paperback Content
Print ISBN
- Leave low-content book unticked: low-content books can't get a free ISBN [2].
- Choose Get a free KDP ISBN, then click Assign ISBN [2]. Do the 4 checks at the top of this sheet first.
- KDP may show a box asking you to confirm; authors report it says the ISBN can't be changed or removed once assigned (its exact words aren't on any KDP help page). Confirm.
- The ISBN section then shows the 13-digit ISBN and the imprint Independently published [2][3].
Type the 13-digit ISBN into the ISBN box at the bottom of the sheet's web page (https://opus-kdp-sheet-2026-10-14.netlify.app), press Send, and stop here: don't upload files or publish yet. It goes on the copyright page (p. 4) at the final build; the number printed in the book has to match this one [1].
Print Options (set them now; they stay in the draft):
- Ink and Paper Type: Standard color interior with white paper (Mike, 13 October, about 10:20am: "Standard at $24.99, proof first"). It locks once the book is published [13].
- Trim Size: 6 x 9 in (15.24 x 22.86 cm). It's KDP's default [13]. Locked after publishing [5].
- Bleed Settings: Bleed (PDF only). The interior is built 6.125 x 9.25 in with bleed (
layout/book.json;layout/KDP-SPECS.md, A). - Paperback cover finish: Matte (the layout lane's pick, 8:25am Wednesday: the cover is type with one green band, and matte has no glare when the book is filmed or photographed for ads). KDP: glossy "is typical for textbooks, children's books, and nonfiction"; matte "for novels and other fiction" [13]. The finish doesn't change the print cost [14].
Click Save as Draft at the bottom of the page. Not Save and Continue.
Later, at upload (not today): Manuscript (the interior PDF), Book Cover (the wrap PDF, layout/build/cover/wrap-374-standard.pdf, built 9:08pm Wednesday for 374 pages, spine 0.842 in; check the spine against KDP's cover calculator first, and the layout lane rebuilds it in a minute if it differs), then the AI question below, then the Print Previewer.
AI-generated content (on this page, under the cover; answer it at upload). KDP requires you to say whether text, images or translations are AI-generated, the cover and interior pictures included [10]. KDP's definitions [10]:
- AI-generated: "text, images, or translations created by an AI-based tool", "even if you applied substantial edits afterwards." Disclose.
- AI-assisted: "you created the content yourself, and used AI-based tools to edit, refine, error-check, or otherwise improve that content", or used AI only to brainstorm. No need to disclose.
Per KDP Community posts and a third-party guide (inkfluenceai.com, "Amazon KDP AI Disclosure 2026"; neither is a KDP help page), the form asks (in the Community posts' wording) "Did you use AI-based tools to create text, images, and/or translations in your book?" and, on Yes, gives Text, Images and Translations one drop-down each. Text and Translations: Entire work or Some sections, each with minimal or no editing or with extensive editing; or None. Images: One or a few AI-generated images, or Many AI-generated images, each with minimal or no editing or with extensive editing; or None. It's reported not to ask which tool, and not to show the answer to shoppers. Pick what the screen actually offers.
What's true of this book, for Mike to confirm (question D):
- Text: Claude writing sessions drafted the chapters from the research, and they were revised over many rounds on Mike's directions; the book quotes no one from Opus (Mike's quoted lines came out by his order of 14 October, 1:57pm). By KDP's definition that's AI-generated text. Likely answer: Yes, Entire work, with extensive editing.
- Images: 6 printed pictures were generated with Nano Banana Pro in Higgsfield: the BROQ, SPMD-99 and NMN-99 in-hand pictures and the three pouches on a window ledge (scenes made around the real pack art), the fisetin strawberries, and the plastic tea bag in the microplastics chapter (
images/SOURCES.md;images/sources/generated.md,our-products.md,pic-34.md; placed perlayout/placements/). The charts and "how it works" diagrams (88 named inlayout/placements/) were drawn in code by Claude helpers from the chapters' words (images/illustrations/STYLE.md). Everything else is brands' own photos, stock (Unsplash, Wikimedia) and the experts' official photos. The cover is type only, no picture, nothing generated (layout/cover/RESULT.md). Likely answer: "One or a few AI-generated images, with minimal or no editing" for the 6 pictures; "Many AI-generated images, with minimal or no editing" if the 88 code-drawn charts count. - Translations: None.
Page 3: Paperback Rights & Pricing (later, at publishing)
Nothing here today. For when the files are in:
- Territories:
All territories (worldwide rights). - List price, Amazon.com:
24.99(Mike, 13 October). The primary marketplace (Amazon.com) is the one KDP sets the list price in [9]; the other stores' prices sit on the same page, so check each one before publishing. - What $24.99 pays at 374 pages (the 10:44pm Wednesday build): print cost $1.00 + 374 x $0.0255 = $10.54 [14]; royalty 60% x $24.99 minus $10.54 = $4.45 a copy [15]. KDP's minimum list price at 374 pages is about $17.57.
- Expanded Distribution: leave it off. At $24.99 and 374 pages it can't pay: 40% x $24.99 = $10.00, under the $10.54 print cost [15]. It needs a list price of about $26.35 or more (question E).
- Proof: One proof copy comes before it goes on sale (13 October). Proofs are ordered from the draft once the files pass the Print Previewer (
layout/KDP-SPECS.md, F). - Publish: not until Mike and Nick say so.
