What Klaviyo Records

Updated Saturday 17 October 2026, 8:04pm Pacific

Klaviyo is our email system. This page checks what it saves about each person who signs up for our emails (which ad brought them, which page they signed up on, which product they care about), because sending each person the right welcome emails, and knowing which ads bring in subscribers, both depend on it.

The good news: Klaviyo already records which page every sign-up came from. Which ad and which product are only partly recorded, and the new pop-up on our ad pages hasn't had a sign-up yet, so we can't prove what it saves until it does.

What Klaviyo keeps for each sign-up Ad: partly. Kept only inside the page address saved with the sign-up, and no sign-up from a tagged Meta ad has come in yet. Page: recorded on all 200 of the latest sign-ups, on the sign-up, not the profile. Product: partly. The welcome flow notes a product after sign-up for 30 of 158 people; nothing saves what the ad was about. Which ad PARTLY Only inside the page address saved with each sign-up. No sign-up from a tagged Meta ad yet. Which page RECORDED On all 200 of the latest sign-ups. It's on the sign-up itself, not on the person's profile. Which product PARTLY The welcome flow notes a product after sign-up (30 of 158 people). Nothing saves the ad's product.
From Klaviyo's newest 200 pop-up and footer sign-ups (11 August to 17 October), checked today at 3:37pm Pacific.

What would close the gaps

  1. Hidden fields on the ad page pop-up. They'd save the ad's tracking tags (utm_content, which names the ad, and utm_campaign) and which product the page is about, straight onto the person's profile.
  2. The welcome flow writes the page onto the profile. Then segments and flows can use it without digging into the sign-up.
  3. A look in Meta's Ads Manager to confirm the live ads carry their tracking tags. Our ad specs set them, but the tools Claude uses on Meta can't read them back to prove it.
  4. A recheck after the first ad page sign-ups. That's when we can see the ad and product actually land.

Nothing has changed in Klaviyo. These changes wait on your and Nick's OK, and they're in the brief's Questions.

The full detail

What was checked

Three read-only pulls from Klaviyo today, about 3:37pm Pacific: the newest 20 sign-ups (6 to 17 October), the newest 200 (11 August to 17 October), and the list of sign-up forms. Nothing was changed.

What the page address carries

Of the newest 200 sign-ups, how many carry each tag Page address 200. utm_source 10. Google ad click 4. utm_campaign 3. fbclid, a Facebook click, 1. utm_content, the ad's name, 0. A Facebook or paid UTM, 0. Of the newest 200 sign-ups, how many carry: Page address 200 utm_source 10 Google ad click 4 utm_campaign 3 fbclid 1 utm_content 0 None of the UTM tags say facebook or paid.
The utm_source tags came from chatgpt.com, Klaviyo email and SMS, and the site itself. So the page address does keep tags, but no sign-up from a tagged Meta ad has come in yet.

Already planned

The welcome flow edits waiting to go live set the welcome product on the single-product ad pages (BROQ, NMN-99, SPMD-99) and save the page's angle on the profile. On the top-list and lab-tested pages, the product is left to the flow's usual split.
