BROQ · Cash from customers who already love us
About $1,900 in the bank by Tue 27 Oct, and $2,700 by Tue 3 Nov, from our own customer list
Day one already brought nearly all of the $1,900: on Wed 21 Oct, 4 said yes, $1,824 (Shopify orders; about $1,770 after card fees). The forecasts below were made Tue 20 Oct, before the first email.
A thank-you for 24-month BROQ customers: pay for 6 months, get 12, plus free NMN-99 and SPMD-99. They pay now; the extra BROQ ships after their current plan runs out.
What it could bring in, after card fees (expected, not money in hand)
In a great week, 1 in 8 of the 47 say yes and the 5pm email brings one more order: $3,500 for the 47 alone (the full bar).
Where the money comes from
47 customers about a year into a 24-month BROQ plan get the offer. Most of them joined in last fall's big sale.
That now includes 4 told in June that $44.33 a pack was our lowest price ever.
Wednesday's first email went to all 47, those 4 included.
Each yes pays $456 for 12 more months, instead of $912. The 7 customers on 2 packs a month pay $912, instead of $1,824.
The emails go out Wednesday 21, Friday 23 and Sunday 25 October, with a final one at 5pm Sunday. The offer closes Sunday 25 October at 11:59pm Pacific.
Claude's email session's best guess: 1 in 15 of the 47 say yes, about 3 people.
They pay about $524 an order on average (the 7 on 2 packs pay $912), less card fees.
Why 1 in 15: September's similar $456 offer went to 39 customers with about 9 months of BROQ left. 4 ordered in 2 days, about 1 in 10.
These 47 have about 12 months left, and people with a year or more left buy less often. So Claude's email session counts a little lower.
The 5pm final email adds about $300: about 0.6 of an order at June's last-day rate, so in practice $0 or about $500.
Why customers will love it
Why there's no real downside
- We come out ahead. A yes on 1 pack pays us $442 after card fees; we keep about $71 after the 12 boxes ($342) and free products ($28.90).
- The big cost comes much later. We don't ship those 12 boxes until their current plan runs out, a year or more from now.
- It's not a deep discount. $456 is exactly half the regular price of 12 months ($912), and Recharge, our subscription app, says to go no deeper than half off.
- It's easy for customers to say yes. They can get a full refund within 30 days of buying.
5 more can't get our email (4 unsubscribed, 1 whose address bounces). Nick sends them the full offer as a personal email from his own Gmail.
More customers get it too: up to 74 customers less than a year into a 24-month plan, Wed 28 Oct to Sun 1 Nov, with nobody left out.
Offer decided Tue 20 Oct, 3:54pm Pacific. Its emails need your and Nick's OK by noon Pacific Tue 27 Oct, and Nick's team makes its own $456 checkout page.
About $750 by Tue 3 Nov (likely $600 to $3,000), after card fees, expected, not money in hand, and now in the brief's totals.
That's Claude's email session's estimate: about 1 in 40 of the 62 on our group emails say yes, since people with more than a year left buy less often.
