“Why aren't we all growing sprouts in our kitchen? These grow from seeds to sprouts in about five days in a jar.”
First words spoken
What happens: Woman shows broccoli sprouts growing in a countertop jar sprouter.
why aren't we all growing sprouts in our kitchen these grow from seeds to sprouts in about five days in a jar no soil no garden no sunlight required you literally just rinse them twice a day that's it a quarter cup of seeds turns into five cups of fresh food for just a couple dollars and you just throw them into whatever you're already making like burgers sushi avocado toast wraps salad they're also among the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet broccoli sprouts in particular are one of the richest sources of sulforaphane a compound studied for cellular protection and healthy aging so if getting enough vegetables feels hard sometimes sprouts make it so much easier if you ever wanted to grow your own food but thought it was complicated this is a beautiful place to start i get my sprouters and seeds from the sprouting company they make it really simple

“You are wasting money not growing your own sprouts. I grew all this in five days.”
First words spoken
What happens: Chef holds up a jar packed with homegrown sprouts and shows how easy it is.
You are wasting money not growing your own sprouts. I grew all this in five days. Add a quarter cup of broccoli sprout seeds to a jar. Soak them for eight hours. Dump it out. Fill it with new water. Swirl it. Drain it. Rest the jar in an angle so excess water can drain out. Then twice a day, rinse and drain them. In five days, this will turn into this. They're great, just raw. Or download our cookbook. It's free with 100 sprout-based recipes.

“Chopping broccoli and waiting 40 minutes before cooking can nearly triple its cancer-fighting compounds.”

What happens: Knife chops broccoli under text: wait 40 minutes before cooking to triple sulforaphane
This is legal to take in Colorado, and I hope they're not gonna ban it in the UK. Soon as I landed in this country, the first thing I was told was, take this before it gets banned. And if you put it under your tongue, it's gonna skip the digestion and go straight to your blood. I was wired. It was like someone had plugged me into the main. I feel like it's taken 10 years off me, and when I'm eating, food actually feels like it's giving me energy. That's because NAD. Fuels your cells, but as you get older, it naturally declines. So it's really important to take NMN, which is a precursor to NAD. Your body can't process NAD. Already, so if you take NMN, your body will convert it into NAD. This is NMN H, so it's got the hydrogen molecule bonded, which makes it five times more potent than just NMN. This is the cleanest brand I found. One ingredient made in the UK, third party tested. Every single pack comes with a batch code. I'm gonna link it below while it's still legal in the UK.

“not to be dramatic but I learned during my PhD you can age backwards on a cellular level”
Words on screen at the start
What happens: A woman with a PhD sips coffee while the caption lists five cellular-aging supplements, spermidine second.
One of the most nutrient-dense superfoods is so easy to grow right in your kitchen. I'd argue it is actually the easiest food to grow. Sprouts grow from seed to plate in five days. No sun, no soil, just rinse with water twice a day. And these tiny broccoli sprouts have more of a key antioxidant called sulforaphane than a full-grown head of broccoli. I add them to everything from sandwiches to salads to smoothies to tacos. Let's normalize getting nutrition from whole foods instead of another expensive supplement and growing it ourselves right on your countertop.
SulforaphaneBy @drluciaaronica
“But there's a problem. What's the problem? The problem is that there's actually no sulforaphane in this broccoli.”
First words spoken
What happens: Dr. Lucia Aronica, in a Mel Robbins podcast clip, uses a glow stick to show chopping broccoli makes sulforaphane.
But there's a problem. What's the problem? The problem is that there's actually no sulforaphane in this broccoli. You need to chop it or chew it. And there's Here's why. Think of sulforaphane as a glow stick for your genes. When you break them, two compounds mix starting a light reaction. And sulforaphane works the same way. When I chew broccoli, it activates the sulforaphane inside the broccoli? Exactly. And this is exactly what happens. A compound called glucoraphanin mixes with an enzyme called myrosinase and boom, this creates sulforaphane. So, the problem is that most people buy frozen broccoli. And frozen broccoli is quickly blanched, so quickly boiled before freezing, and this destroys myrosinase. So, no myrosinase, no glow stick reaction, no sulforaphane. It's like buying a broken glow stick. Or they throw broccoli directly into the boiling water. Mhm. Same problem. Myrosinase dies, and you don't get sulforaphane. So, that's why I have three tricks Oh, good. for broccoli. So, here are the three tricks for fresh broccoli. Yes. Chop it 40 minutes before cooking. Wait, because during that time myrosinase as catalyzes the reaction and produces more sulforaphane. If you buy frozen broccoli, okay? You can rescue that with mustard. Add like a teaspoon of mustard powder or a tablespoon of prepared mustard uh every like 3 oz of cooked broccoli. Why? Because mustard is also a cruciferous vegetable, so provides the myrosinase enzymes that has been killed. And then there is the third trick. If you really want to maximize sulforaphane, grow your own broccoli sprouts. They have up to 100 time the glucoraphanin, the precursor, compared to mature broccoli. So, just 1 oz of broccoli sprouts equals 3 lb of broccoli. And it's so easy. In 5 days, they are ready, and they are really an epigenetic medicine.

“Literal biggest bio hack. Grow your own broccoli sprouts!! They are full of sulforaphane”
Words on screen at the start
What happens: Woman pulls homegrown broccoli sprouts from a jar; text praises their sulforaphane.
People always ask me, Vanessa, how do you look this good at 50? And I'm like, dude, it's a fucking four pack. It's science in the four pack. Because my face went from that at 48 to this at 50 years old. I'm a mom. 50 year old mom with two teenage daughters. It's fundamentally changed my face. So let's go through the stack. Cause I'm sure you've seen that little hook of like, oh, she's not prettier than you. She's not this. Yeah, they're fucking bio hacking, bitch. That's what they're doing. They're fucking bio hacking. So I'm gonna walk you through the things that your body is getting depleted of as you age. My fucking glasses. Here. Okay, so NAD. What is NAD? It's the youth molecule. It's what fills up every single soul, like, cell in our body. And if you don't fill it up, like, age just, like, takes hold and like, you go down the shitter. Like, that's just what happens. Not meaning to be dramatic, but that's what happens. So for the NAD, I double them. You don't have to. There's also a three pack. But I'm 50 years old, I don't fuck around anymore, so I take straight up NAD. You could take it at night. Doesn't keep you up. NMN which was the baned one the heavy duty one. It makes fresh NAD. In your body. Have to take it. In the morning though, cause it's gonna keep your ass up all night. So I stack them. And that is my NAD. Okay, then for the garbage dump. For your body is glutathione. That's what the Koreans have been doing for glowy glossy skin all this time. But they've been getting a drip of it at lunchtime. Now you don't have to. Now you can take a liposomal, some kind. That's what Doctor Patel says. He's like the genius like doctor on glutathione and it. Think pesticides, makeup, fragrances, all the stuff that we put on our body all the time that needs to get out. You can't have glowy glossy skin if all of your cells are like, polluted. Okay, that's the garbage man. And then you've got the Calcium AKG. The beauty supplement for nice hair, skin and nails. Strong hair, skin and nails. I am 50 years old, but I still wanna have nice hair. So this one I saw a mouth study. One looked old, one looked new, and the new one looked like the new one was on Calcium AKG And they were the same exact age. So this a no brainer. This is D3K2. All the things that you'd want in a beauty supplement, it's all already in here. But this stack, you cannot find it anywhere else. Every time I stack them, either they fall over or it's perfect. I feel like I'm like a. You know, Circus act over here. I'm like a clown. This CATA-KOR stack is an exclusive stack to TikTok Shop and allows you to get involved in bio hacking in your own fucking home. Try all the shit out and see what you like. So if you see that link there, you can still get it if you're on IG. I don't know. See if you can find the link, but try to get it bundled because it's gonna save you money if you get it bundled.

“Hey Carrie, this is an absolutely great question. You says I've always heard about NAD, but didn't realize you need NMN.”
First words spoken
What happens: Creator answers a viewer's question on NMN versus NAD+.
Hey Carrie, this is an absolutely great question. You says I've always heard about NAD, but didn't realize you need NMN. If you take this, do you also need NAD. Plus? Perfect question. Now for those of you that don't know me, my name is Joshua Zitting. I'm an award winning creator on TikTok for my supplement education show. I've been on the platform for over 3 years, but I've been in the industry for 20+ years but doing research on supplements for over 15. And I used to own a supplement company. So I love this question about NMN and NADS. Let's break it down. Carrie was commenting on a video that I made about this NMN product from Micro Ingredients, the number one supplement brand on TikTok. An NMN nicotinamide mononucleotide is the precursor actually to NAD. Plus. Now there are a lot of companies as well as creators that hate when I tell you this because a lot of times they are trying to sell you more product. That is not my goal here. I like to break down the scientific studies and talk about both. Now keep in mind over the last two and a half years I sold an absolute ton of NAD+ products but little history lesson. It was all that companies had available to sell. See, I started taking NMN back in 2020 cause I was following the research of Doctor David Sinclair. He's a Harvard researcher that essentially was breaking down the importance of NMN and trans resveratrol and what they did for our aging process. So NMN and trans resveratrol were both linked to studies around cellular and DNA repair and recovery, and also what it did for our energy centers, aka mitochondria, the housing of our cells. Now, what happened was the FDA came in in 2022 and said, hold on. There's all these claims being made about this product. We are taking it off the market. So they pulled it away from us. I was pissed because my fatigue had finally gone away. I was dealing with major fatigue at 35. I felt like this stuff was finally giving me my energy back. I had no longer needed a pot of coffee. I was feeling really good. My skin was looking good. There were so many things for me improving because of this product. Well, it's took the FDA three and a half years to do their research just to find out those claims were true. But in that three and a half year period, guess what happened. Companies launched NAD+ products. Okay. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. The all NAD. Okay, it is actually large of a molecule. Very little of this actually ever makes it into your cellular housing, aka your mitochondria. So a large portion of this goes to waste. Has it been shown in scientific studies that it works? Yes, but the truth is, NMN produces this Product in the body. So NMN is the precursor. It is a small enough molecule, it can actually pass through the cellular housing and turn into nads. We all have nads, but as we age, they start to decline. So by the time we're 35, they start to dip. By the time we're 50, they're at about a 50 percent. When this happens, the mitochondria starts to slow down, you start to feel fatigue, you start to age faster, you start to deal with things like skin fatigue. This is why when you walk into any med spa or anti aging clinic in the United States right now, you will see a wall full of glutathione and a wall full of NAD products. Cause they are actually really great when we are talking about our aging process. So as of seven months ago, when the FDA released N&M back to the market, I switched from NAD+ products back to my NMN products. I find that it's a lot less expensive, it's more effective, it's actually creating this product in the body, and in many cases, it actually goes to work the way that it's supposed to inside of our mitochondria. So I've told a lot of my clients to finish up their NAD+ and make the switch back to NMN. The other thing is, this is not just an NMN product. It is a fully loaded cellular support system. It has apigenin for sleep and stress, fat soluble vitamin C for immunity, Co Q10 for heart health. Grape seed extract and glutathione are phenomenal antioxidants. If you guys haven't done your research on glutathione, it's the body's master antioxidant. It cleans up and recycles other antioxidants in the body, helps support things like immune system, overall skin health, overall aging processes. It is a really cool ingredient. TMG can help us get ready for summer, but it actually runs the entire mechanics of your NMN system. And also, astaxanthin and quercetin are two things that work on oxidative stress in different pathways in the body. If you guys have heard me on the platform rave about astaxanthin, what it's done for my skin, what it did for my eye floaters, a lot of eye doctors will offer astaxanthin to their patients who are dealing with retina issues, skin issues, brain. It also supports things like our heart and blood vessel walls. It supports bones, and it supports joints. So there's a ton of research on astaxanthin. It's been around for a long time, but it's just now starting to really gain popularity on social media. All of these ingredients really help support this whole system. And right now, you guys, don't forget micro ingredients. If you don't know them, they're the number one supplement brand on TikTok. And again, this is not medical advice. Do your own research results very person to person, and always consult a pharmacist or physician before starting a supplement protocol. But the other thing, About NMN is a lot of people will buy a 30 day supply. That's gonna kind of do the job, see a difference in four weeks. But you really need to take products like this for about 90 days. That's why on my live streams I'm always telling people, look, I know you can buy a one month for about 25 bucks. But there is now a two pack of a two month supply. So it is four months. And when you check the price point, it is a phenomenal deal for an NMN product. Plus you can use code microjosh in all caps, no spaces to get an extra five off of that deal. That's gonna give you four months. So it's gonna put you over that 90 day Mark. So you can actually fully experience this product. If you want something that can potentially support fatigue, overall skin when we're talking about blood sugar, cholesterol, LDL's, HDL's and also have really great support when it comes to all these different anti aging processes, check out the MMN product from micronutrients. But don't pay full price. Grab up that 2 pack which is a 4 month supply of this product. Cause it gives you a total per month that is really super low. And if you have any questions about it, drop me a comment.

“Do you know skin tags are a sign of insulin resistance? Those skin tags on your neck.”
First words spoken
What happens: Creator links skin tags to insulin resistance, then points to NMN capsules.
Do you know skin tags are a sign of insulin resistance? Those skin tags on your neck. Those skin tags you get underneath your armpit. If you have a neck like this, this is also a sign of insulin resistance. If you carry everything in your midsection, that's also a sign. I know because that used to be me. Mix high insulin levels with high cortisol and being over 30, you've got a recipe for disaster. The good news is you can start to turn things around with diet and exercise. And let me put you on to something that's really easy to add to your routine, supporting your NAD levels. NAD is involved in cellular energy production. And by the time you're 50, you have about half the levels you had in your 20s. If you don't know what NAD is, listen to this Harvard scientist explain it. If you don't have NAD in your body, you'd be dead in about 30 seconds. It's a really important molecule. But as we get older, we lose NAD. By the time you're 50, you have about half the levels of what you had when you were 20. That's not good. What NMN does, they boost the body's levels of NAD back up to youthful levels. You can't take NAD, but you can take NMN. This is the one I use by Viva. It's made in the UK and third-party tested. They've sold over 159,000 units. And because they are so popular, they do tend to run out of stock. So if you can see the orange cart, I'd grab it before they run out of stock again. Thank you.

“So first the US government uses this to try to create super soldiers, and now athletes are getting their hands on.”
First words spoken
What happens: Edited clips claim NMN was used on soldiers, then pitch a brand.
So first the US government uses this to try to create super soldiers, and now athletes are getting their hands on. No way athletes are gonna be able to use this stuff. Well, I don't know that they're gonna be able to block it from athletes because it's a natural substance in your body. It's just maxed out, right? That's insane. Top secret. They have been working with our military, with our Special Forces. When they give NMN directly, the precursor to NAD endurance is bloated, he said, very much like the mice. Muscle development is completely changed from the same stimulus, like the same workout. They're getting more muscle. They ran this experiment on these soldiers where they boosted their NAD levels, and they saw increased endurance, strength and muscle recovery and better cognitive function. The FDA unbanned MMM in November 2025, and now athletes are starting to use. And the reason it works so well is cause it's not just athleticism. It literally de ages your body to the point that fine lines and wrinkles go away. You heal faster from injuries and from workouts. Your joint pain goes away. You have that same youthful energy you had when you're like 20 years old. And it even clears out your brain fog. The only downside I could find was price. The last company I ordered innominate from, it cost me 150 bucks for a one month supply. But micro ingredients, they just launched their own Innamin. It's 2 Months supply at one fourth of price. It is made in America and third party lab tested. If you're ordering anything off a TikTok shop, you need to make sure it's third party tested. If you're thinking about trying some of this, they just added it to a sale. I'll leave the link somewhere down here. I would just grab this bottle before the price goes back up.

“But I'm 35. Can I still take it?”
First words spoken
What happens: Creator explains NAD and NMN for energy after 30 and links capsules.
But I'm 35. Can I still take it? No. Hell no. Because if you start taking this at 35, you're probably gonna feel a lot better in yourself over time. But if your short sleeve lies on your ankles like this, and you're waking up after eight to 10 hours and still feel tired and you feel puffy, then you need to look into this. Once you hit your 30s, your lad, that's your natural energy levels start to drop and. And your body's processes start slowing down, and that can leave you feeling drained, sluggish, and struggling to stay consistent with work, training, or even daily life. NAD. Is literally used to create energy in your body. You can't take NAD, but you can take NMN, which your body converts to NAD. NMN. Is becoming one of the most talked about supplements in supporting healthy aging, energy production, and overall wellness. This one by Viva NMN. Contains high strength 500 mg NMN. Capsules in a simple daily form. Don't waste your money on random supplements with weak dosages. That matters because they've sold over 140,000 units. It's been all over TikTok lately and the reviews on this are actually mad. I'm gonna leave a link right here. It's an offer right now, but the stock seems to move pretty quickly, so if you can still see the link, it should still be available.

“I take the four things in this bag every single day, and I'm never gonna stop, because it fundamentally took my face from that at 48 to this at 50 with nothing going on at all.”
First words spoken
What happens: Vanessa, 50, shows the four daily supplements she keeps in her bag.
I take the four things in this bag every single day, and I'm never gonna stop, because it fundamentally took my face from that at 48 to this at 50 with nothing going on at all. This is called bio hacking. And if you are over the age of 40, you kind of really need to get, like, on board with, uh, bio hacking. Because this is what everyone's doing that is fundamentally making them age in. You know what I'm saying? NAD. Is the one I started with. This is straight up NAD. You can take it at night, and it's not gonna keep you up. This is gonna fill up all of your cells with that famous youth molecule that all the subs are using. NMN. Was banned by the FDA. For three years. You couldn't get it unless you had, like, a doctor, like, on your staff. You weren't getting this. Now you can get this one, and it's a 4 in 1 formula. So this is one that you have to take in the morning, though. It's gonna give you that much energy. So do not take that at night. It'll keep you up. But this is going to make fresh NAD. In your body. So if this gives you, like, the bump, this is going to be back, filling it with your own high quality NMN, Calcium, AKG, strong hair, skin, And nails. My hair is kind of a mess right now, but you can tell I have a lot of hair, and I have very strong hair. I also have nails. Okay, this is all due to the Calcium AKG, which is CATA-KOR’s beauty supplement to make your body into its own. Like collagen and keratin factory. Cause once again, you start losing those items as you age. This is all things that you lose when you age. Okay. Glutathione. What the hell is that? That is the garbage bin for your body. So if you, you know, wear makeup or put on, you know, sunblock or eat fruits and vegetables like we all do in this country, they all have pesticides. That stuff has to get out. This is gonna clean out your cells. Also helps with your liver. And this is glutathione. People used to get a drip of this. You don't have to anymore. With this formula, it's not gonna break down. This is what the heavy is used in the biohacking world. I know it sounds scary, but if you're over the age of 40, and you don't wanna age like a freaking hag, you're gonna have to get on biohacking. Get this thing when it's on sale. The very best prices are on TikTok Shop. This is an exclusive deal for all four. Gives you opportunity to try them all. So try them all and let me know. See ya.

First words spoken
What happens: Piles of broccoli shown next to half a cup of sprouts with equal sulforaphane
You would need to eat this much broccoli to get the same amount of sulforaphane found in about half a cup of broccoli sprouts. Sulforaphane is a queen when it comes to healthy aging, activating the body's natural detox and antioxidant systems. Challenge as we get older, our appetite decreases. This amount of broccoli will leave us very full. And we still need a variety of foods to get all our vitamins and nutrients, which is why I started sprouting at 50. Sprouts are a concentrated source of nutritious compounds. These seeds actually contain about three times more sulforaphane than regular broccoli sprouts.

What happens: Creator compares NMN and glutathione and who each suits.
should you take NMN or glutathione I'm a pancreatic cancer researcher and a natural health practitioner so let me explain the key differences between these both and which one might be suited for you these are both natural very important molecules found in every cell in your body but they play slightly different roles glutathione is like your cells defense system it is very important for detox as the master antioxidant of your body and it's primarily found in the liver where it's very critical to help your liver detox efficiently it binds to heavy metals toxins harmful byproducts and pollutants can otherwise accelerate aging disease and affect your liver and your entire well being so this quite literally escorts all those toxins out of your body it's very important for boosting your immune system too so if you're always getting sick and you're not recovering fast enough ludovine is what you need and interestingly it is phenomenal for your skin health it actually helps skin brightening so if you have hyperpigmentation or discoloration it protects your skin from UV ray damage keeps your skin hydrated and also helps with acne and inflammation next we have anti aging NMN which is one of the most studied molecules in anti aging research its primary function is to help enhance cell energy production NMN is converted into nad in every cell and that is going to fuel mitochondria and produce natural energy so if you're always feeling tired you have brain fog poor performance cognitive decline making NMN is right up your alley this is extremely important for your brain health and for cognitive decline it also has anti aging effects for your hair skin and nails and it is extremely important for modulating inflammation it also helps with longevity pathways it helps with your cell life cycle and DNA repair mechanisms and it helps with metabolism control so I personally would suggest pairing these in fact because NMN helps refuel glutathione so that you can keep reusing glutathione over and over again so you have your fuel and repair and you have your detox and defense I really like this bundle in particular it's from catacor one of the best anti Asian brands out there it is very high quality it's made in America it's third party tested here you can buy them separately if you would like but the bundle you save a few extra dollars and these also have really great reviews behind them so if you would like to check this out I leave link right down here next to Orange Shopping Cart so you can see the reviews the bundle is selling out quickly unfortunately because it's for a limited time so if you still see that orange shopping cart they are still left in stock and if you have any questions let me know in the comment section

What happens: Before and after story, doctor clips, then a bundle pitch for NMN and glutathione.
this was me six months ago and I did two things that these two doctors will explain check this out it's the thing in your cells that helps you get rid of poisons and free radical damage and oxidation from heavy metals and pollution not to mention stress and alcohol and to counter infections as well so glutathione is super important to keep your body healthy as you go through this exposure the poisons and stress if you don't have enough glutathione you're gonna feel tired you're gonna feel Moody you're not gonna be able to sleep and you're gonna feel overall toxic glutathione is like the mother of all antioxidants now listen to this doctor explain the other piece I told you about the mice but will it really transfer to humans so here's what's cool yep for two years top secret they have been working with our military with our Special Forces and about a month and a half ago in Boston the commander got so excited he slipped the beans and it was just in the Daily Mail last week as well he didn't tell all of it and I know more cause I'm invested in the company and I can't tell you the exact things but I can tell you what has been reported what's been reported is the commander said they've had almost identical response as they saw on the mice meaning first of all the mice only get 30% like you're an NMN you might get 30% uptake max this N N N has brought it to 3 to 400% of what you have in your body which is why it's great and he said these these are the strongest humans alive both men and women in the Special Forces the most fit people right endurance has exploded he said very much like the mice he said secondly muscle development is completely changed from the same stimulus like the same workout they're getting more muscle and then thirdly the most important thing for them is cognition has gone through the roof cause when you're exhausted and you're out there in Special Forces the ability to use your head is the most more valuable than your body at that point right okay I called bullshit on that one but I actually found that the study that they did on our Special Forces operators as well as the product that they used intuitively it makes total sense if we clean up our polluted toxic cellular environment we can literally heal from the inside and when we boost our nad using NMN we get those anti aging benefits because nad is the youth molecule nad tells our cells when to make energy when to recover and when to repair which is why kids have so much energy and they recover so quickly is because they are full of nad problem for the rest of us is that both glutathione and nad in our bodies naturally decline with age so by the time we hit our 40s and 50s we got about half the level that we did when we were in our 20s so by boosting both of these levels back up we can literally heal from the inside out and start looking better and feeling better thankfully the leader in everything anti aging catacore has both products and they put them in a bundle I'm gonna pop the link down here for you my doctor loves these cause these are both made in the USA they both carry a happiness guarantee on it so if you're not happy you can contact the company they'll make it right and they both have NSF certifications which is the gold standard in supplement testing so hopefully the orange carts down here somewhere that means it's in stock they're running a great sale on this bundle and if you order today you're gonna get free two day shipping good luck keep stacking
SulforaphaneBy Dr. Eric Berg DC
“The number one best food for your liver is something you probably have been throwing in your garbage.”
First words spoken
What happens: Dr. Berg names broccoli sprouts as the best liver food, citing sulforaphane
The number one best food for your liver is something you probably have been throwing in your garbage. Do you know that your liver performs over 500 functions? It filters the blood, it produces something called bile that helps you digest fat, it makes hormones. And if your liver is sluggish, you're going to be tired, bloated, you're going to carry belly fat. And if the liver is fatty, you're not going to be able to burn fat in your midsection. This one food does something very remarkable. It contains a compound that activates the liver detoxification pathways. Almost no other food on the planet will do this. It increases something called glutathione, which is the body's master antioxidant, by 300%. It helps the liver break down excess estrogen, which means less belly fat. And you can grow it for pennies. It's anti-inflammatory. It has anti-cancer properties. And it contains this very unique compound called sulforaphane, which does cross the blood-brain barrier and protects your neurons. People either hate it, they overcook it, or they ignore it completely. It's cruciferous vegetables. Specifically, raw or lightly steamed broccoli sprouts. One teaspoon of broccoli sprouts contains 50 times more sulforaphane than adult-grown broccoli.

Are we supposed to just ignore that this was on live TV and act like it was never said out in public? Watch this. Over the last forty years, the United States has been exposed to something that our biology was never intended to handle. Energy dense, highly palatable, rapidly absorbable, ultra processed foods that have altered our metabolism and have resulted in the greatest increase in chronic disease in our history. Type 2 diabetes, pre diabetes, hypertension, abnormal lipids, fatty liver, heart attacks, stroke, heart failure. From our food. From our food! And sadly, this doesn't even include all of the toxins that we take in on a daily from other sources. Heavy metals, plastics, seed oils, sugars. What about the pollution in the sky? And god knows what we have on the inside of our own homes. Not to mention the water that we are drinking on a daily. So if you've been having constant headaches, bloated, gut issues, ladies, you're struggling with really bad PCOS, irregular periods, men, if you're having tender breast tissue up here and this right here, that just won't go away, no matter what you are doing in the gym. About mood swings, irritability, easily frustrated. I could go on and on with the list of symptoms. Listen, this was me last year. And before that this was me also in 2022. You name it, I've been through it. I was really, really sick. And one thing that I discovered and realized, you need Extra support at the cellular level from the inside out. Cause we're not gonna get it from our food. So this is what I've been taking. This is in a men. And this is glutathione. This is made by catacore. They are both in every cell of our bodies, but they both start to deplete after the age of 40. it's really important that we support our bodies from the inside out. One is a peptide, the other isn't. One is going to support you with cellular energy. And this right here, glutathione, is going to support your liver, helping with all the toxins that we take in on a daily. You need extra support. We cannot do it on our own anymore. We're slammed with it every single day. I want you to feel better like I've been feeling better. And look at this. I've been able to. I am 52 years old, y'all. That should tell you right there, that right there is not anything that I could do on my own. It's because of all of the energy that these products are giving me. Click that cart. This is the most anti-cancer food you can eat and it's super easy to grow in your kitchen. Buy some seeds and a couple sprouting jars. You're going to pour the seeds into the jars and rinse them twice per day for approximately five days. You'll see the seeds sprout almost immediately. You want something to hold the jars so that they continue to drain. I picked up this dish rack from a thrift shop for like two bucks and it works perfectly. And after five days they're ready to eat. Add them to all your meals. They're high in sulforaphane, fiber, antioxidants, and they are anti-inflammatory. Also fantastic for gut and brain health. Save this video and get sprouting.

What happens: Tim Spector explains chopping broccoli and waiting before cooking to keep sulforaphane.
Everyone knows vegetables are good for you, but I've got a tip to make them even healthier. Now, brassicas like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and kale all contain something called sulforaphane. This is an antioxidant that has anti-cancer properties and probably also reduces your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. So you want plenty of it. So how do we get more of it? Well, it's released when we cut into the cell walls, damaging them, you release the sulforaphane, and this happens every time we cut any of our vegetables. But there's a problem. If you put it straight into the pan, that heat actually stops that sulforaphane being released. But I've got a solution for you. Chop and stop. All you need to do is to chop your vegetables 10 to 15 minutes ahead of time, leave it, go and have a cup of coffee, and come back to it. And that gives it enough time for the sulforaphane to be in sufficient quantities to really have a benefit on your health.

“Now, why do you love broccoli? Broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables in the same family.”
First words spoken
What happens: Mel Robbins podcast clip: Dr. Lucia Aronica explains how to unlock sulforaphane in broccoli by chopping first.
Now, why do you love broccoli? Broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables in the same family. So we are talking about Brussels sprouts, arugula, kale. This provides an epigenetic nutrient called sulforaphane. Sulforaphane isn't an antioxidant itself. It's better. It's the boss of your body's own antioxidant army. It switches on a genetic master switch called NRF 2. This activates more than 200 protective genes involving detoxification, inflammatory defense, antioxidant defense, and. And this is the best part. While dietary antioxidants like vitamin C disappear in a few hours, sulforaphane switches on those genes for up to three days. Wow. So it's enough to eat cruciferous veggies 2, 3 times a week to keep your antioxidant genes switched on. But there's a problem. What's the problem? The problem is that there's actually no sulforaphane in this broccoli. You need to chop it or chew it. And here's. Here's why. Think of sulforaphane as a glow stick for your genes. When you break them two compound mix, starting a light reaction. And sulforaphane works the same way when I chew broccoli. It activates the sulforaphane inside the broccoli. Exactly. And this is exactly what happens. A compound called glucoraphanin mixes with an enzyme called myrosinase, and boom, this creates sulforaphane. So the problem is that most people buy frozen broccoli, and frozen broccoli is quickly blanched, so quickly boiled before freezing, and this destroys myrosinase. So no myrosinase, no glow stick reaction, no sulforaphane, is like buying a broken glow stick. Or They throw broccoli directly into the boiling water. Same problem. Myrosinase dies, and you don't get sulforaphane. So that's why I have three tricks. Oh, good for broccoli. So here are the three tricks for fresh broccoli. Yes. Chop it 40 minutes before cooking. Wait, because during that time, myrosinase catalyzes the reaction and produces more sulforaphane. If you buy frozen broccoli. Uh huh. Okay. You can rescue that with mustard. Add, like, a teaspoon of mustard powder or a tablespoon of prepared mustard every, like, three ounces of cooked broccoli. Why? Because mustard is also a cruciferous vegetable, so provides the myrosinase enzymes that has been killed. And then there is the third trick. Okay, if you really want to maximize sulforaphane, grow your own broccoli sprouts. They have up to 100 time the glucoraphanin, the precursor, compared to mature broccoli. So just 1 ounce of broccoli sprouts equals 3 pounds of broccoli. And it's so easy. In five days, they're ready, and they're really an epigenetic medicine.

“Your body has a built-in detox system and one vegetable compound flips it on more powerfully than almost anything else that you can eat and it comes from broccoli, but especially broccoli sprouts.”

What happens: Doctor explains how sulforaphane from broccoli sprouts switches on detox genes
Your body has a built-in detox system and one vegetable compound flips it on more powerfully than almost anything else that you can eat and it comes from broccoli, but especially broccoli sprouts. And the compound is called sulforaphane. So, when you crush or chew cruciferous vegetables, so things like broccoli or cabbage or kale, there's an enzyme reaction that can release it. And inside your cells, it does something clever. It flips on a master switch called NRF2, which is normally pinned down by a brake. And sulforaphane releases that brake, so NRF2 switches on a whole battery of your own antioxidant and detox genes. And the clearest proof came from a randomized trial in one of the most polluted regions in China, where nearly 300 people drank a broccoli sprout beverage every day. And in just weeks to months, their bodies were clearing two nasty airborne pollutants much faster. So, benzene clearance went up by about 61% and acrolein went up by 23%. These compounds were attacking the toxins and flushing them out, which is exactly what you expect when those detox genes come online. And those genes crank up your cells' own cleanup crew. So, glutathione, which is your main antioxidant, that goes up and so does a family of enzymes that grab pollutants and they grab byproducts of metabolism and even some carcinogens and they tag them for disposal. And it's less about a single food being magic, but it's more about waking up a defense system that you already own. So, how do you get it nutritionally? Well, broccoli sprouts are the richest source by far. 3-day old sprouts naturally carry anywhere from 10 to up to 100 times more sulforaphane precursors than mature broccoli. So, a small handful in a salad or on a sandwich or in a smoothie goes a long way. And you can get broccoli sprouts at your grocery store, but if you eat them daily, it can get pretty expensive. So, some people grow them at home and there's kits and seeds that you can just buy online. And then most cruciferous vegetables also have sulforaphane, but just not as much as broccoli sprouts. So, what's exciting about this is you don't need a cleanse or stack of supplements. Just a few servings of crucifers a week will keep that NRF2 switch getting flipped, and it keeps your own detox machinery running the way it was built to. Now, there's one important caveat. That trial in China used pretty high doses of the concentrated sprout drink. So, you won't match those exact numbers just with a side of broccoli. But, every serving still flips the same switch just at a lower dose, and that can add up pretty quick.

First words spoken
What happens: David Sinclair, on stage in India, names his two daily molecules: resveratrol and NMN.
So I've been taking supplements for and experimenting on myself for about 20 years and my father has also been doing it. He's now 83 and in perfect health. And what I learned through my research and through my own self-experimentation and then clinical trials in hospitals, there's certain molecules mostly from plants that provide the benefits of fasting and exercise. And there are three main things that I take and have taken for over a decade. The one chemical that I take every day is resveratrol, which is the red wine chemical. And that comes from grapes. And so that one gets sprinkled into some yogurt in the morning. I also take a molecule. That's the one which red wine has, right? But the amount you take is equivalent to 750 glasses of red wine per day. I don't recommend getting it from red wine. So the other molecule is called NMN. NMN, not to be confused with M&Ms. Don't mix those up. NMN is a version of vitamin B3 that makes a chemical in the body that we need for life. And that's called NAD. And as we get older, we make less and less of this. And without NAD, these sirtuins that we discovered, slow aging, remember the genes that we discovered? They don't work without a lot of NAD. So as we get older, our defenses decline. And so by taking this supplement, we know that it doubles the levels of NAD back to when I was age 20. Now we see what happened in our neighborhood. That's great. Let's talk about NAD. 849 square fifty percent of normal Wales Pridd nosalan off in September 2016. Not many additional volunteers can pick up where they differ from each other then to decide once again. Alright. Over then.

And my father who is an even more advanced experiment at 86, so yes, we've been taking it for over a decade now. We're still alive, so, so far so good. This isn't speculation. When you give a human NMN by swallowing it, a gram of it, you typically double the amount of NAD in your body. We believe, and we have some evidence now in human clinical trials, that the sirtuins are imparting health benefits, reestablishing the epigenome, lowering body weight, improving inflammation, and even changing cholesterol levels in a positive way in humans.

If you take some broccoli and put it in the freezer, then you take out the broccoli, chop it up, and let it sit for about 10 minutes before you do any cooking. You significantly increase the formation of the powerful cancer-fighting compound called sulforaphane in the broccoli. But if you add some crushed mustard seeds into the mix, you increase the production of sulforaphane even more, because the mustard seeds contain a compound called myrosinase, and this converts the glucoraphanin in the broccoli into sulforaphane. And this is one of the most powerful natural detoxification foods that we know of. It activates something called Nrf2 in your body and glutathione, which helps your body break down pesticides, hormone-disrupting chemicals, and many other toxins too.

Can this low-cost supplement help people with heart disease live better for longer? This is a major clinical trial out of Denmark and they are testing Do Not Age Pure Spermidine in people with heart disease. Heart disease is the most common killer in the entire world. Uh this study is randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, the gold standard. There's more than 200 patients over the course of an entire year. Obviously, one group gets the Do Not Age Spermidine, the other group gets a placebo, so like a dummy supplement that won't do anything. And what they're measuring is heart function, muscle strength, inflammation, blood pressure, how fast the brain works, even body composition, and gut health. They're looking at everything. So, why spermidine? Well, higher levels in the blood are linked to a longer life. Um they're linked to better heart health, and they are linked to less fat. Um spermidine is is also known to trigger autophagy, which is your body's natural cellular cleanup process. But, here's the key point. We don't have results yet. Uh the results are expected in 2027. If this does work, however, this could be a very simple way to help your heart stay stronger for longer. Any questions? Drop a comment below.

We have this white powder in front of me. You've got a big smile on your face. I do because there is just so much benefit to this, depending on which brand you've bought, of course. But I can't say enough about creatine. I have my parents on creatine. They're 71 years old. I've got my dad on high-dose creatine. I've got my mother on low-dose creatine. It's the most widely studied supplement on the market. I think that this is a really cheap and effective way to get everything you want from both your physiology, an upgrade on your physiology and your neurophysiology. Creatine is a naturally occurring molecule. We produce around two to three grams of creatine per day. It gets secreted from a bit from the brain, but a lot from the liver. Two to three grams a day is great, but it's not enough. So we have to supplement with it. And all through the 90s and all through the 2000s, people were supplementing with five grams a day. That is this scoop here. Five grams of creatine per day. We have found that creatine has enormous benefits for the brain. But here's the problem. When you have five grams of creatine, you're saturating the muscles. Okay, remember, the muscles are so hungry, so they get first dibs, and they take up all of that creatine. So then there's none left for the brain. We also lose a bit of the bioavailability when the creatine goes into the brain. And it crosses the blood-brain barrier. But when it goes into the brain, we lose some of it. So we have to supplement with more than five grams. And one of the studies that changed my thinking came out last year. It was the first ever pilot study done on Alzheimer's disease patients. You're talking about patients whose brains are under attack. They're in an energetic crisis. They cannot produce energy effectively. ATP is all skewed. Brain glucose metabolism is skewed. They don't remember. Left from right. Cognitive functions are declined. They put them on at 20 grams of creatine per day. These patients not only preserved their cognitive functions, but they had more energy, and they were able to exercise more. It can protect your brain against a concussion. It can protect your brain against a stroke. It can protect your brain from stress. The best thing about creatine is that it works in the background of stress. I think that's where you'll get most of the benefits from.

“Scientists just discovered why this man might be immune to Alzheimer's disease.”
First words spoken
What happens: Scientist tells of a man carrying an Alzheimer's gene who stays sharp at 75
Scientists just discovered why this man might be immune to Alzheimer's disease. This is Doug Whitney. Like the rest of his family, at position 141 in his P-Cent 2 gene, the amino acid asparagine has been swapped for isoleucine, known as the Alzheimer's gene. This mutation comes with a near-certain diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer's. His own mother lost 10 of her 13 siblings to the disease before they turned 60. But right now, Doug is 75 and fighting fit, making him one of just three documented cases in the world to dodge this genetic death sentence. Their researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine set out to find out why. Our best understanding of this disease is that the P-Cent 2 mutation drives overproduction of the amyloid proteins. That triggers the usual structures that stabilize the inside of neurons, tau proteins, to detach and misfold, forming tangles that spread rapidly, wrapping around neurons and eventually killing them. Scans of Doug's brain show that his amyloid levels are two and a half times higher than what doctors consider normal. But the second half of the disease just doesn't seem to be happening. There are only small amounts of misfolded tau proteins and they are right at the back of his brain and they don't seem to be spreading or causing the usual damage. But when researchers took samples of his cerebrospinal fluid, they found unusually high levels of four different proteins. They think might be preventing the disease. When the body is exposed to extreme temperatures, it can damage the body's proteins. In response, the body produces heat-shot proteins that stabilize new proteins and repair and refold the damaged or misfolded ones. These heat-shot proteins also disperse throughout the brain. And the researchers believe they may be interrupting and repairing the tau proteins before they can go on to cause Alzheimer's. But what is strange is that this response usually fades within hours of a heat-stress ending. The research team thinks that Doug's 20 years spent in the engine room of steam-powered Navy ships in a heat environment so intense he had to be hosed down with water multiple times per day meant his body was producing huge amounts of these proteins year after year. And now, decades after he left the Navy, his body's background level of production is still high enough to stop tau from misfolding and spreading further. Now this is just one case, so we have to be careful about how strongly we draw conclusions. But if scientists can pin down the mechanism, it opens up a genuine target for future Alzheimer's treatments, meaning that saunas could soon come on prescription. If you like science that keeps you ship-shaped, follow for more.

So small smudges and missing details start to build up until the copies become harder to read and the cells stop working the way they should. Neurologists studied people who stayed cognitively sharp into their 90s and they kept finding the same thing in the morning routine. But first, you need to understand what happens to your brain at night. Every night while you sleep, your brain runs a cleaning cycle. It flushes out toxic proteins, the exact ones that accumulate in Alzheimer's patients. Here's what most people don't know. The quality of tonight's cleaning cycle is determined by what you do tomorrow morning. Within the first 30 minutes of waking, most people will grab their phone, scroll, and in doing so they accidentally sabotage the most protective thing in their aging brain, you know, that could do. Your brain has a master clock. One specific trigger sets it every morning. Get it right and tonight's sleep is deep and restorative. Get it wrong for years and the proteins will start building up. This habit is free, takes 10 minutes, and almost nobody does it deliberately. Deliberately. So, what is it? Sunlight in your eyes within the first 30 minutes of waking, before any screens, even before coffee, before anything. That one decision sets your cortisol levels, your melatonin, and your brain's overnight cleaning cycle. Share this with someone you want to protect and follow for more.

This is incontrovertible evidence that graying of hair is reversible and it can be pretty fast. Wow. And there's more. So we all walk around with our biological history encoded in your hair. Like for example, if you have marijuana six months ago, it's going to be in your hair. I need to get a haircut. I'm joking. So my research lab had the idea that if we could find what was happening in this person's life when this young hair become old, then we could understand the mechanism of the aging process. So what is the secret to anti-aging? It's the proper allocation of energy. Can you, can you, what's the simplest way you can explain that to me? So first, energy is real. And it's the difference between feeling like you can change the world or feeling completely drained. And a lot of people live on that end of the spectrum. And it's because there's a finite energy budget with a hierarchy of energy needs in the body. For example, we did an experiment because we wanted to know how much energy does it cost to worry about the future, to ruminate about yesterday. And we found that the stress hormone increased energy expenditure by 60%, right? So it needs to steal energy from some of the things that keep you young. So it's not the stress that burns us down. It's the response to stress. And the third piece is this energy is in your mitochondria. And there's about 5,000 trillion mitochondria in your body. And so they made our bodies possible and they can change how you feel. Well, I've read that studies on brains of dead people have found that those with a greater sense of purpose have more efficient mitochondria. Yes, we are really in service of the mitochondria. They allow us to be alive. Becky, I've got so many questions for you based on what people wanted to know. It's like how patients with ME, chronic fatigue or long COVID safely rehabilitate their mitochondria. What I consume, how does that impact the efficiency of the energy? If red light therapy impacts mitochondria, and is there anything I can do to have more energy available? But before that, I've heard you say that most diseases or disorders can be explained by understanding energy resistance. Yeah, we think there's increased energy resistance in cancer, in Alzheimer's. Like fundamentally diabetes is a disease of energy resistance. So is there anything I can do? There is. So you can start by...

After about 3 days of not eating, just drinking water, you hit this wall and it's like, "Oh man, I'm just I can't deal with it anymore." It's just a terrible feeling in my body. I can't sleep at night. I got the Jimmy legs. I got all kinds of problems. Screw it. I'm not doing this. Just tiny amounts of a grape juice you can get get through the wall. What we do for the cancer patients, we do a zero carb diet for about a week while the body is readjusting. You can't believe the power of glucose is an addictive drug on the brain. It's unbelievable. It's like cocaine. And you know that when you start you start shaking and you're going but if you don't eat carbs and just eat meat or whatever, then when you jump off to the water only fasting, it's much less dramatic to the brain. You've gone through the wall the gate, so to speak. So, once you know how to get through the gate, you make this whole process a lot a lot easier. And that helps people enormously, especially those people that want to get rid of their chronic disease.

“Most people don't know how much plastic is in our brain right now.”
First words spoken
What happens: Creator weighs up studies on how much plastic sits in human brains
Most people don't know how much plastic is in our brain right now. Well, I've spent the last 4 days making this video because there's so much conflicting information. So, buckle up, listen, it's actually pretty interesting. Last year, a study dissolved the tissue of about 50 brains to analyze the amount of plastic left behind. And basically, they found that people who died recently had an average of about 7 g of plastic or about the weight of this plastic spoon. But now, other scientists are calling the study a complete and that they likely unknowingly included other particles into their calculations, which inflated their answers. But what we do know is that plastic is penetrating our brains, and higher amounts of it have been found in dementia patients, and scientists don't know why.

“Scientists found a hobby that physically reverses brain aging and it costs you nothing. It's bird watching.”
First words spoken
What happens: Doctor walking outdoors says bird watching may slow brain aging, citing brain scans of expert bird watchers.
Scientists found a hobby that physically reverses brain aging and it costs you nothing. It's bird watching. Stay with me here because the science is totally wild. Starting in 2026, researchers scanned the brains of expert bird watchers. The parts that control attention and memory were much denser, a protective cushion against decline that lasted well into their 70s and 80s. Why? Because when you're scanning a tree for a flash of color, your brain can never run on autopilot. I think that's the whole secret. You know, the challenge here is the health and what drives brain health. Three things that nobody tells you. One, birds beat the gym for your mood. A study of nearly 1,300 people found that just seeing or hearing birds lifted people's moods for hours afterwards, even people already diagnosed with depression. Just 6 minutes of birdsong measurably measurably cut someone's anxiety and paranoia. Your nervous system treats it as a reset button. Two, it outperforms a regular walk. Researchers split people into nature walkers and bird watchers. The bird watchers won. The same trees, the same air, but the act of searching for birds change everything. Here's the kicker. One study calculated that living near 14 or more bird species gave the same life satisfaction to someone as getting a raise at their job every single month. Birds are as valuable to happiness as money in the bank. Three, this is the part that I think matters the most for people older than 50. The Surgeon General says loneliness raises your risk of early death equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day a day. Isolation raises your dementia risk by 50%. Group bird watching quietly fixes all of it. It gets you walking which cuts cognitive decline up to 40%. It gets you outdoors and it gives you a reason to get up in the morning and people to do it with. And you don't need a forest. You know, even a feeder outside your window counts. The trick, don't discount the birds, savor them. The people who paused to feel joy at each bird got double the benefit of people just tallying and checking off a list. So here, I think the prescription costs nothing. 120 minutes a week near birds. That's the same dose linked to a 59% increase in good health, and it works just as well at age 70 as it does at age 30. If your parents are getting older, send them this. If you have any loved ones that are concerned about, send it to them. It might be the cheapest medicine they ever get. Follow along more for the science of aging well, and share this with someone out there who needs to hear it.

“Can we go look at my kitchen now?”
First words spoken
What happens: Expert walks through a kitchen pulling out black plastic utensils and containers
Can we go look at my kitchen now? Let's do it. We're going to look at real things that you might not even know in your kitchen are causing you some of these problems. Come with me. Okay, so the team have been here for the last couple of days. We've been getting lots of takeaways and so this is a higgledy-piggledy of everybody's food. What's wrong? You've got me pulling out Black plastic. What's wrong with the black plastic? We talked about plastic. It has BPA, it has phthalates, but it also typically is made from recycled electronics. And the problem here, Steven, is recycled electronics have flame retardants in them because you don't want your electronics catching fire. And there've been uh variety of studies now that have found that black plastic has a high amount of these flame retardants that are leaching into the food and getting into people's bodies that way. Not only do you not want to eat out of black plastic, you don't want hot food going in there, right? Cuz that's like the worst. Can I get a bin bag? I need a bin bag. Okay, so let's throw that in the bin. What else? You're going to take all of it, aren't you? Okay, this is the other thing that really reaches out. Spicy foods, anything acidic that goes into plastic causes the chemicals to leach into it even more rapidly, kind of the same way the heat does. So heat, acidic foods not good in plastic. So my spicy sauce, if it comes in a little plastic tub, it's going to leach in? Look, if it's the one-off, okay, but like not a habit. Yes, it big-time leach in. It You're You're You're eating BPA hot sauce. What about this? Um made of paper. Here's my little thing I do. See that? Waxy. It's a waxy. This? PFAS. On the edge? Yeah. This is This is better than black plastic. If you had it like if there's like tiers, this is better than black plastic, I would say. And this? Ding ding ding, this is great. This is the best thing that you can do. If you're going to have food made for you or you want to order takeout, have someone make it for you and deliver you in this. And this is a bamboo lid. Bamboo lid with with Pyrex glass, right? So this is what This is good. This is great. So I need more of this. more of this and get rid of all I mean, this is already looking better. This is on the scale, at least it goes in cold. So, here's the thing. Microplastics are also shedding into this. We didn't talk about microplastics. They're shedding into here. The chemicals, not as much in something like this, but they're still getting in. So, this is a little bit better when it comes to like the the tiers here. The hot food is the worst. This is a little bit better, but I still would get lettuce. Because it's cold. Because it's cold. So, it's not seeping. Exactly. Okay, so I might be able to keep that then.

This new study just figured out how to flush plastic out of your body in 7 days. Microplastics and the the chemicals that come with them, stuff like BPA and phthalates, they're basically everywhere. They're in your food, your shampoo, your air, and the research, it keeps connecting them to really scary things like hormone problems, heart disease, and metabolic disease. And if you look into it, it can all feel pretty hopeless and overwhelming. So, researchers in Australia did this something that nobody's really done before. They took 60 people and they just rebuilt their entire diet to strip plastic out at every step and they watched what happened. They worked with over 100 food producers to make sure that nothing in the supply chain ever touched plastic. They were so committed that people in the study got their groceries delivered in cardboard packaging insulated with sheep's wool instead of the usual plastic. And after just 7 days, BPA in their pee dropped by 60% and two other plastic chemicals dropped by 54% and 38%. Researchers said that three things made the biggest difference. The first was canned food. Every can that a person ate in a day, it was linked to a 14% jump in BPA. I mean, most liners are literally coated in it. Two, the plastic packaging on food, even on fresh fruits and vegetables. And three, ultra-processed foods. Right, plastic gets baked into them at basically every step of production. And so, the data shows that we may actually have more control over all this than we think. Though, the accessibility and the viability of making these changes, it's going to vary by individual as well as companies. And hey, in the meantime, let me know your thoughts and reactions in those comments. Share to spread the word and follow to stay in the loop.

Harvard just published a 43-year study on coffee and dementia. 131,000 people, four decades of data. And the finding is that real, regular coffee drinkers had an 18% lower risk of developing dementia. But you came here for the catch, so here it is. Decaf doesn't count. Not a smaller benefit, not a reduced benefit, zero benefit. Researchers found that decaffeinated coffee showed no association with lower dementia risk at all. Which means it's not the ritual of a warm cup. It's not the antioxidants just in the bean itself. The caffeine itself appears to be the active ingredient, likely because of how it reduces inflammation and protects your brain cells from damage. There's a second catch that most people won't tell you. More is not better. The sweet spot is about two to three cups of coffee a day. People who drank more than that got no additional benefits. So if you're thinking six cups will give you 36% protection, it won't. Just two to three cups, that's the range. Now here's the part I really want caregivers out there to hear because this is the finding that stopped me. The benefit even held for people with high genetic risk of Alzheimer's and dementia. So if you're caring for a parent with Alzheimer's right now, or you're worried about it for yourself and quietly wondering, you know, whether you're next, this study says your genes are not your destiny. First words spoken
What happens: Creator says our food is toxic and sells a glutathione supplement.
How the fuck do they allow this to happen? Listen to this shit. 40 years, the United States has been exposed to something that our biology was never intended to handle. Energy-dense, highly palatable, rapidly absorbable, ultra-processed foods that have altered our metabolism and have resulted in the greatest increase in chronic disease in our history. Type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, hypertension, abnormal lipids, fatty liver, heart attacks, stroke, heart failure. From our food. From our food. Okay, so we have some cleanup to do internally. This was me six months ago before I cleaned up, and this doctor is going to explain exactly how I did it. It's the thing in your cells that helps you get rid of poisons and free radical damage and oxidation from heavy metals and pollution, not to mention stress and alcohol and to counter infections as well. So glutathione is super important to keep your body healthy as you go through this exposure to poisons and stress. If you don't have enough glutathione, you're going to feel tired. You're going to feel moody. You're not going to be able to sleep. And you're going to feel overall toxic. Glutathione is like the mother of all antioxidants. So it's vitally important that we continue to detox ourselves as we go through time, as we've heard. And the thing about glutathione is our body produces it, but the production starts to go down as we go through time. So that by the time we hit our 40s and 50s, we probably have half the level that we did when we're in our 20s, right when our body needs it the most. My doctor had me on it for about six months. She recently switched me over to CataCore because of the quality of the company that they are. This stuff is made in the USA. It has a happiness guarantee. It's got an NSF certification. What happens: Bryan Johnson reacts to a woman who can't get pregnant and blames microplastics.
I don't understand why I can't get pregnant. What's she gonna say? Oh yeah. Okay, yeah, I've seen enough. Men, you have microplastics in your balls. It's wrecking your fertility. I can help. This can cause testicular inflammation, lower sperm count, and lower testosterone. So here's how you can fight it. First, you want to reduce your microplastic exposure. Avoid heating food in plastic containers, using plastic cutting boards, and wearing polyester clothing. Even consider investing in a reverse osmosis water system or a carbon block water filter. Because drinking water is a common source of microplastic exposure. The next thing you can do is detox. I was able to eliminate 85% of microplastics from my sperm. Based upon my data, sauna appears to be effective in removing microplastics from my body. The protocol I used was 200 degrees Fahrenheit, 20 minutes a day, 100% cotton clothing, and ice on the boys. If you don't ice the boys, the sauna will actively hurt your fertility. Men, we have been putting the blame of infertility on women for too long. Have some balls and do your part.

So when you go for a walk, just a brisk walk, what is the percentage? 45%. 45%. Leg strength was 47%. In MCI patients, these are pre-dementia. So this is somebody that has a diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment, and you prescribe leg day. So strengthen your legs, because as you just explained, your legs are a pump, and it's sending more blood to your heart. It's doing all kinds of good things that create more connections between your neurons and help your brain to go. But the research shows in this twin study that the twin that did the leg days and strengthened their legs, they decreased their chance of getting Alzheimer's by 45%? 47%. 47%? Yeah, so it's so phenomenal because, you know, the concept of stopping the progression of cognitive decline, the past about is important. So the siblings who exercised and had stronger legs, 47% of them actually had normal memory testing after that period. And it wasn't even extensive. It was just a six-month study, and they exercised for about 30 to 45 minutes. And they were doing things like, you know, the resistance training, leg press, lunges, and squats, things. The normal things you got to do. I hate all these things, but I'm going to be thinking about my brain. And they were able to sustain that benefit even after stopping after six months. How many days a week do I have to do this? Three or four times a week. That's it? Like, why wouldn't you do this if you knew that you decreased your risk for Alzheimer's significantly? And if you have any type of mild cognitive impairment, the study is showing that you might actually reverse it? Yes. Yeah. And even if you're 80, even if you're 90. Yes. You don't have to do leg presses with weights on your shoulder. I tell people to do mini squats. You're watching your favorite show. Make that your late day. Stand up. Your couch is behind you. Don't go all the way 90 degrees. Go 60 degrees and do a few of those. Or if you're waiting for your microwave, if you're warming something out, instead of just like standing there, just hold on to something and do some mini squats for 60 seconds and you'll see the back fits.

So, 25 years studying nearly 300 people with perfect memory in their 80s and 90s, and there was one key finding. But, before the big reveal, three things you need to know first. Number one, when scientists examined their brains, the finding was totally jaw-dropping. These people were growing twice as many new brain cells as normal older adults, and 2 and 1/2 times more than people with Alzheimer's or dementia. Scientists called these people super agers. The leading researcher said, "This shows the aging brain has the capacity to regenerate. That is huge." Number two, researchers tracked their lifestyle habits for decades. These people stayed physically active, they kept challenging their brains, they had purpose and meaning. But, one trait consistently showed up across every single one of them, and it had nothing to do with exercise or diet. Follow along because I'm going to share what every single person in this study had in common that you can give to the person you love, or even for yourself starting today. Number three, almost every single one of them described themselves as deeply social. Researchers found that literally these people have more of a specific neuron in their brain linked to social behavior than people that are decades younger. Social isolation physically changes the brain, and connection physically protects it. So, the single most powerful thing standing between you or your loved one and dementia is not a pill. It's other people. It's you. If your parents or spouse are isolated right now, pick up the phone, call them, stay on the line. Just share this with your family and anyone you know, and follow along because I share the latest on brain health research so you and your loved ones can act on it today.

Inflammation, elevated liver enzymes. Put me on injectable glutathione. I can't afford that shit. Then I started seeing glutathione everywhere on this app, and I started researching. Turns out biohackers and celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow have been doing glutathione IV. Drips for years. Now. Here's the science. After 35, your body's natural glutathione production drops significantly. Glutathione is your body's master antioxidant. It fights oxidative stress, reduces inflammation, supports your liver, and strengthens your gut barrier so you actually absorb the nutrients that you're already eating. The problem is, most glutathione supplements get destroyed in your digestive tract before your body can even use them. That's why I switch to Rosabella's liposomal glutathione. Liposomal means it's wrapped in a lipid layer the same way your cell membranes are built. So it bypasses digestion and gets absorbed directly into your bloodstream. Same science behind why Gwyneth's IV drip works. Just no needle required. I've been sleeping better, my skin's clear, way less bloated after eating, and I went from going to the bathroom a couple times a week to almost every single day. What happens: Podcast guest warns the host not to touch receipts because of BPA coating
That's bad. A receipt? Yeah, don't touch it. you mean don't touch it? Um so receipts are Why are you touching it like that? covered with BPA. I mean literally just covered. That's how it prints it, right? This isn't like a printer. This is printed for It's a thermal paper and and the BPA is allowing the printing to happen and so they're covered with bisphenol A. People that are handling receipts like cashiers that are handling receipts have really high levels of BPA um particularly if they use like hand sanitizing lotion or any lotion, any sort of cream makes the BPA again BPA is fat soluble. These creams um the hand sanitizers are carrying it inside to your inside your bloodstream uh about a hundredfold higher than not having that. So first of all you can opt to have a receipt emailed to you if you need the receipt. I would do that. Or you know, don't touch it. But also if you work in the cash if you're a cashier and you work in this industry really really please wear nitrile gloves. I mean this is like your BPA levels if you were to go get them measured which you can. There are companies out there now that do measure BPA levels in urine. You will see that they are extremely extremely high. So um nitrile gloves will protect you from from the BPA getting across your your dermal barrier and getting to your bloodstream. Latex gloves do not. So make sure they're nitrile gloves. And then for people that are not in the industry try to avoid the receipts. I mean it's a really big exposure to BPA that people aren't even realizing. So really really really important to remember receipts are a very big source of BPA that people are not thinking about particularly people that are routinely handling these receipts.

What happens when you fast is you're not putting any energy source into the body. Even though you're not eating, your body is, it's just eating you. It's going to start to consume something called scinesscent cells. These are cells that are hanging out in your body that can no longer perform their function. They're alive, but they're useless, which cleans up inflammation. Your body actually breaks these into amino acids and turns them into energy. Then what happens is your body switches from processing all of this garbage and it goes into healing and repair mode. And by the way, when your body consumes these cells, you will replace them with fresh, new, healthy cells. It's crazy to me that how the body just does that. It is so divine. This is why I say it all the time. The more I study human physiology, the more I believe in God. There is zero chance that this happened by

“This one man is really boosting the case for avoiding alzheimer's through heat.”
First words spoken
What happens: Narrated story of a man with an Alzheimer's gene and years of heat exposure.
This one man is really boosting the case for avoiding alzheimer's through heat. Doug has a terribly unlucky genetic mutation that almost guarantees early onset alzheimer's in his 40s or 50s. Ten of his 13 aunts and uncles all died before they were 60 because of this genetic mutation. But Doug is currently 76 with no signs of cognitive impairment. How does he do it? They think it's because he spent 10+ years working in a Navy steamship engine room where the temperatures would be 100 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit hours at a go. They'd have to hose him down with cold water sometimes so that he didn't overheat. And this led to an abnormally high amount of heat shock proteins in his cerebrospinal fluid, which are known to be protective against the tau aggregates that cause the cognitive impairment of alzheimer's disease. These observational studies also showed that people who went to the sauna all the time in Finland got two to three times less alzheimer's over the 20 year follow up period than those that only went once a week or less. So from multiple lines of evidence, it seems like heat is particularly protective against the tau agglomerations or aggregates that cause alzheimer's disease. We also have this similar data in mouse models of alzheimer's disease. Which, Mice don't get alzheimer's, so that has to be taken with a bucket of salt. But the evidence is converging that heat exposure is protective. Doug was shocked when He got the results back showing he had this mutation. Since he figured he made it to 60 with no sign of cognitive impairment, he must have been in the clear. So they retested him three times due to his disbelief. Now, personally, I'm not gonna spend a decade of my life in a Navy steamship engine room to avoid alzheimer's, but I sure am glad that I married a Finn and married into sauna culture. It's frankly awesome.

First words spoken
What happens: Science host explains the first human trial reprogramming eye cells to be young
Scientists are trying to make your organs young again, and they just started their first human clinical trial focusing on the cells in your eye. When you're a little embryo, your cells start out as unspecialized stem cells, but as they grow, they morph into the ones with specialized jobs. And then as you age, they can break down and die, which in your eyes can cause blindness. So, previous studies have shown that by adding specific proteins to a cell, you can get it to act like a stem cell and then coax it into a totally different kind of cell, which is crazy. But, this trial is trying to take the neurons in your eye and turn back the clock and stop them just before they turn into stem cells by carefully adding just some of those proteins and then coaxing them back into healthy functioning neurons. But, what seems really clever is these proteins only work when activated by a specific antibiotic. So, if something goes wrong, your doctors can stop the antibiotic and your eye goes back to normal. The first patient is already being treated. So, to see what happens, subscribe.

The plastic detox just aired on Netflix and spoiler alert, it's ruffling some feathers. Let's look at the facts. In the documentary, they follow six couples with unexplained infertility, which means having regular intercourse for more than 12 months and having initial fertility methods finding no particular reason for why that infertility has occurred. So, in it, participants go on a 90-day detox where they try and reduce their exposure to microplastics and endocrine disrupting chemicals like BPA and phthalates and see what the results are. Measures included replacing plastic kitchen items, storage boxes, personal care products, and cosmetics, and clothes to safer alternatives. After these 90 days, participants noted significant improvements in the levels of these endocrine disruptors in their blood and improvements in sperm concentrations and counts. And three out of the six couples managed to get pregnant. Now, we need to make it clear that this is TV, not a clinical trial. Sperm counts vary widely. They could have gotten pregnant anyway. It was a small sample size. But, there are still those that deny the harmful effects of microplastics and endocrine disruptors, and there is a larger body of evidence showing that this needs to be looked into in more detail. How do you reduce your plastic exposure? Let us know.

I wanted to talk about toxins for a second because right now there's a really huge push to detoxify and stuff like that. And my viewpoint of that is like, yes, for sure, we need to lower that. But toxins can affect the biochemical pathways. But I want to let you know, you can actually push through those pathways by increasing more nutrient-dense foods too. So you have two things. I can isolate you into this perfect environment, which is impossible. Or I can kind of improve things and then just make sure you eat more nutrient-dense foods, take more of certain things. You can force these pathways to work better. And this is one thing that this PhD that I'm working with on metabolomics showed me on these tests of like, okay, look at this is a pure toxic block. Watch what happens when we change the diet. Like, wow, it works. It works. We don't even necessarily have to be ultra perfect with every little thing, which is important because we're swimming in a sea of toxicity. So it's like doom and gloom for people. “Scientists just engineered a virus to reverse age-related vision loss.”
First words spoken
What happens: Scientist explains an engineered virus that reversed age related vision loss
Scientists just engineered a virus to reverse age-related vision loss. I can see! As we age, the neurons that feed the images between your eye and your brain, the retinal ganglion cells, start to die, causing your visual field to retract from the edges until eventually everything goes dark. Right now, there's no way to get those cells back when they're gone, and one of the leading drivers of this process is the methylated groups that accumulate on DNA and gradually corrupt the instructions that tell your retinal ganglion cells how to function. But, with an eye to the future, David Sinclair's lab at Harvard are making a contrarian bet that the cells aren't destroyed and that the process might be reversible. Their breakthrough treatment ER 100 is built from a virus with its harmful DNA stripped out. In its place, they insert three of the four Yamanaka factors, Oct4, Sox2, and Klf4, transcription factors that can drag an adult cell all the way back to being a stem cell. The viral vector is injected directly into the eye, where it infects retinal ganglion cells and deposits its payload. Here, the three proteins switch on the cell's own Tet enzymes, proteins that move along the DNA strand and physically clip off the methyl groups one by one, restoring the cell back to its youthful self. However, in this process, if you go too far, the neuron dedifferentiates and forgets it's a neuron, turning back all the way into a stem cell, potentially causing a tumor. In order to stop this from happening, the three reprogramming genes are genetically engineered so that they are only active when the patient is consuming a common antibiotic called Doxycycline. Although the genes will live in the ganglion cells forever, this allows scientists to selectively pulse the therapy to restore just enough youthful function without pushing the cells past the point of no return. In earlier trials in mice with optic nerve damage, ER 100 increased cell survival from 18% to 54%, a three-times improvement. What happens: Longevity doctor explains morning bright light as the habit tied to lowest dementia risk
Researchers tracked almost 90,000 people for 8 years to see whose memory held up as they got older, and the ones who did best share one simple habit. And it's free, and it takes about 10 minutes, and almost nobody does it on purpose. And that habit is light, bright light in your eyes early in the day. But almost everyone who swears they're already doing this are getting a fraction of what counts, and it all hangs on that one word, bright, because your eyes and your brain don't agree on what it means. Your kitchen at breakfast may feel plenty bright, but to the clock in your eye, it's almost nothing. Because deep in your retina, there's a special set of cells that don't help you see at all. They run on a pigment called melanopsin, and their only job is to measure how bright it is and report it back to your master clock, that cluster in your brain called the suprachiasmatic nucleus. If you give it a big hit of morning lightness, it will set your rhythm for the rest of your day. And you need the signal to start the countdown for proper melatonin release later in the day. This is what sets the natural circadian rhythm and determines the quality of deep sleep where your brain is able to clean itself. So, in the study, those 90,000 people wore a light sensor on their wrist for a week. And the ones who got more bright light during the day had a lower risk of dementia. Now, a study like this can't prove that the light itself was the reason. Um people who go outside a lot maybe just generally healthier, um and that's what makes them sleep better. But it fits everything we know about the clock and stepping outside costs you nothing. And every time I talk about morning light, uh there's a couple of questions that always pop up. The first one is, what do you do if it's overcast or cloudy? Even if there's a lot of clouds or it's gray out, I would still go outside because an overcast sky still puts out a thousand lux or more, and the brightest indoor office is only a few hundred lux. So, the gloomiest morning outside still beats most the light inside. And then many people have to get up even before the sun comes out, or if it's during the dark stretch during the winter, this is where it helps to get a 10,000 lux light box and use it for 20 to 30 minutes while you do your normal morning routine like eating breakfast or drinking coffee or getting ready for work. And you don't need to sit and stare at it. All you have to do is just set it off to the side at an arm's length and angle toward your face and let the light land on your face while you look ahead because we don't want to be looking straight at the light. And one quick note before you start using one, check with your doctor to make sure it's okay in your case. There are a few conditions where you'll may need a lower lux light or avoid this altogether. So, for people who have bipolar disorder or any eye or skin or any health condition that can make you sensitive to light. And also, there are some medications that can make you more photosensitive. So, talk to your doctor to make sure it's safe in your situation. And whatever you use, whether it's outside light or a light box, try to hit it around the same time each morning because that's what locks in the circadian rhythm.

What happens: Bryan Johnson, at his sauna, explains heat shock proteins and cell repair.
Hot take, you're probably using the sauna wrong, and I was too. After over 200 sauna sessions, I learned I was making a huge mistake. Your goal in the sauna is not to sweat, it's to get your core body temperature to 102.4 Fahrenheit. When your body hits that temperature, it releases heat shock proteins. These protect brain function, metabolism, and cellular longevity. But you miss these benefits if you're not hitting that core body temperature. To find out if I was crossing this threshold, I had two options. One, swallow a pill that measures my core body temperature. Two, a rectal probe. I chose the pill. And it turns out my 20-minute protocol just wasn't cutting it. In fact, it took me 31 minutes at 200 degrees Fahrenheit to cross that threshold. In other words, it feels like you're dying. Now here's the good news. My previous 20-minute sauna sessions still delivered many benefits. But if you want the real longevity benefits of sauna, your core body temperature needs to reach 102.4. The key to getting the most out of my sauna was to just let me cook.

What happens: Diary of a CEO clip: David Sinclair on habits that speed up aging.
This is very, oh, fucking hell. It's bad, right? It's hard, yeah. That's what it's like to be old. And for far too long, we've ignored it or accepted it as natural. And I reject the idea that aging, just because it's natural, is acceptable. Dying at 80 is not inevitable. Absolutely, that can be changed. So if you're skeptical, I am a Harvard professor who has been studying aging longevity and age reversal for 30 years. And I've seen enough from my lab showing that we can literally now reverse the aging process. And it's not a question of if, it's a question of when this is gonna happen. And everyone should stick around because I'm gonna tell you some of the major things that people should be doing. They can lengthen their life by a decade. Hey, you're not taking that off, Steve. Oh yeah, sorry. You got 10 minutes of that. So you can accelerate aging by smoking, getting an x-ray, ultra processed foods, excessive drinking, flying a lot. I fly all the time. That's probably accelerating your aging process. Even going to a rock concert and blasting your eardrums because your ear hair cells are getting older faster. And so I look at the body like it's a computer and we can reinstall the software. And what's interesting is when you reverse aging diseases like Alzheimer's, cancer, heart disease, go away or are cured. Because what's driving a lot of those diseases is aging. And so my lab is like Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. They are making discoveries that blow me away every week. And I think we're at a turning point in human history where you're probably gonna live into the 22nd century if you do all the right things. We're gonna dig into all of those in great detail. But what are the unintended consequences of such a world where we all live longer? And also, do you think it's gonna be possible in the next 50 years for us to live forever? And then what's the best treatment you've discovered for hair loss? This is why I love your podcast, Steven. You ask the right questions. So first of all,

“Scientists just found a way to remove nanoplastics from our bodies.”
First words spoken
What happens: Scientist explains a kimchi bacteria study that removed nanoplastics from the body
Scientists just found a way to remove nanoplastics from our bodies. Nanoplastics are submicrometer fragments shed as larger plastics break down, and we're ingesting them constantly through food, water, and even the air. And because they're so tiny, they can slip through the intestinal wall and accumulate in our organs like the kidneys and brain. But just this week, researchers at the World Institute of Kimchi, yes, that's a real place, have found something remarkable hiding in fermented cabbage. They isolated a strain of lactic acid bacteria called Leuconostoc mesenteroides, or CBA 3656, and tested its ability to bind poly styrene nanoparticles. In standard lab conditions, it grabbed onto 87% of the plastic particles as specific chemical groups in the cell wall and membrane bound with the polystyrene molecules. Impressive, but the real test was simulating the actual human gut, which is an acidic and enzymatic environment usually hostile to most bacteria. Under those conditions and a comparable strain they used as a reference, they showed that these compounds in the gut almost completely disrupted the binding sites. This meant that the plastic removal capability collapsed to just 3%. However, because CBA 36 56 has adapted to survive the acidic conditions needed for kimchi fermentation, it has developed an unusually resilient outer membrane. So, when tested in the same gut model, it maintained 57% clearance. To see if the effects held up in real animals, they tested it in germ-free mice. Compared to a control group, mice given the kimchi probiotic showed more than double the amount of nanoplastics being excreted in their feces, showing the bacteria were binding to the particles in the gut and literally taking out the trash. 16-8 is not fasting, period. Dr. John Sheff, fasting for insulin resistance, fasting for visceral fat, fasting for metabolic health. What is your strategy? You have a unique approach. What I'd start by saying is 16-8 is not fasting, period. That's where it begins. Understanding that the idea that the intermittent fasting, fasting windows, less than 24 hours is simply not enough time. And we know this with very clear in my clinical practice. The data is obvious when you look at it. Less than 24 hours of food fasting is simply not enough to impact on the relationship between glucose, insulin, and lipolysis or fat burn. And you have to understand strategically that insulin is the critical regulator, that it's the gatekeeper. If you have elevated insulin, insulin resistance, right, which most of Americans do, your body cannot burn fat, period, full stop. That is real. That is a real truth. And when you consider the relationship between insulin and visceral fat, that is really at the core of why intermittent fasting does nothing better than any other form of chronic calorie restriction, which ultimately leads to metabolic adaptation and failure, period. You flip the script. Once you extend out that fast, you deplete glycogen, which is ultimately a piece of the puzzle that interacts with insulin. Will allow insulin levels to actually normalize. All of a sudden, the body can re-engage the normal mechanism of lipolysis, free fatty acids to ketones into fuel.
AutophagyBy @drlivingood
“How long do you actually have to fast before autophagy kicks in?”
First words spoken
What happens: Doctor explains the fasting timeline for autophagy at hours 12, 16 and 24.
How long do you actually have to fast before autophagy kicks in? Autophagy might be the single most powerful thing your body can do for itself. We're talking deep cellular repair that slows aging, sharpens your brain, and lowers your risk of just about every major disease. But most people stop fasting before before they can trigger autophagy. So here's exactly what the timeline looks like for the first several hours. Nothing exciting is happening. Insulin is sky high from your last meal, which means your fat cells are locked shut. Your body is just coasting on stored sugar, which is called glycogen. Around hour 12, that's when things finally get interesting. Glycogen runs out, your fat cells crack open, and your liver starts pumping out ketones, which is clean fuel from fat cells that your brain actually prefers over sugar. At this point, hunger basically disappears. But the real magic doesn't start until around hour 16. That's when an enzyme called AMPK flips your cells into clean up mode and autophagy actually turns on. But don't stop there, because by hour 24, autophagy markers shoot up by around 300%. So if you want a taste of the benefits, aim for 16 to 18 hours of a fast a couple times a week, and push for a full 24 hour fast once a week if you want some serious cellular reset. Follow me for more simple ways to repair your body without medications.

“A brand new study just came out, and the finding even shocked me.”
First words spoken
What happens: Narrator explains a study linking weekly cooking from scratch to lower dementia risk
A brand new study just came out, and the finding even shocked me. Cooking a meal from scratch just once a week is associated with a 30% lower risk of dementia in older adults. I think that's absolutely huge. But here's the part that really stopped me. For people who are bad cooks or novices, you know, people with very few kitchen skills, cooking once a week was associated with a 67% reduction in dementia risk. So, not 30% but 67%. So, the researchers tracked nearly 11,000 people that are above the age of 65 for 6 years. And this finding held up even after controlling for income, education, and other activities like gardening and volunteering. So, why does cooking protect the brain? And why does it work even better for people who are bad cooks? Because cooking isn't just about the food. It's one of the most cognitively demanding things we do every day without even realizing it. You're planning, sequencing steps, uh managing your time, estimating, problem-solving. You're using your hands, your senses, and your memory all at once. And for someone who isn't confident in the kitchen, that challenge is even more intense, which means an even bigger cognitive workout. Now, here's what this means for you if you're caregiving for a parent or a spouse with potentially early-stage cognitive decline or dementia. Don't take over the kitchen too soon. The instinct might be to protect them and do everything for them, but if you keep them engaged in even simple meal preparation, just peeling vegetables, stirring the pot, it may be one of the most powerful things you can do for their brain. Follow along and share this with any friend or family member or a caregiver out there who might need to see it to protect their own brain health.

First words spoken
What happens: Cook explains a kimchi bacteria that binds microplastics in the gut
Your body is full of microplastics. Most people don't think about it, but they're in your gut right now. A 2006 study found that a specific bacteria in kimchi can actually bind to those plastics like a sponge, grabbing onto them so your body can push them out instead of absorbing them. The bacteria is called Leuconostoc mesenteroides, which means this isn't just about digestion. This is about what stays in your body and what doesn't. And this, this is the traditional version. Napa cabbage brined in salt, breaking down, creating its own brine. Then the paste, garlic, ginger, Korean pear, fish sauce, fermented shrimp. Everything layered to create the right environment for fermentation. Because real kimchi isn't made to sit on a shelf. It's made to stay alive. Alive means active. Active means it's actually doing something when you eat it. Store-bought last longer. This works better.

First words spoken
What happens: Dr. Berg says the first sign of dementia is not memory loss
The number one sign of dementia is not memory loss, it's not confusion, and it's not even forgetting names. When people think about dementia, they think about forgetting things, right? The small stuff, like where did I put my keys? Or I can't remember your name. Or you might even see some type of change in personality in the person. Now, the problem with those symptoms is by the time they show up, your dementia has been brewing in the oven for many, many years. I think it's really, really important to understand the earliest signs of dementia. And one thing you should know about dementia, at the cellular level, the brain cells, the neurons, are not getting enough fuel. And that is why the symptom of dementia kicks in. Some of the earliest signs of dementia involve a slower reaction time, a difficulty with solving problems, a decrease in grip strength is one indication as well. Out of all those, the symptom that stood out more than anything was something pretty surprising. You have a bunch of nerves in the back of your sinuses that go right to the brain, and it's called the olfactory system. Your sense of smell is affected first. That could show up as a lack of tasting certain things. One of the tests that you can do is go in your kitchen, and you close your eyes, and you have them put different spices in front of your nose, and see if you can differentiate from one to another with your eyes closed. If it's more difficult, you might want to get checked with your doctor to actually do certain scans to be able to pick up maybe some earlier signs of dementia.

They need to be teaching this sh** in school. I just watched this documentary. I'm actually going to try to get this woman on. She was talking about the fertility crisis because of the microplastics. She brings on six couples who are trying to get pregnant. One of them had been trying to get pregnant for 10 years. And then she tests the microplastics and she's there for 90 days. And they just wipe out everybody's, what are you wearing? What are you drinking? What are you cooking your food in? It's like everything we have. I didn't realize, I guess skin absorbs 40% of everything you put on it. They do like the revamp. I think every one of these couples got pregnant after the 90 days. But the goal is to keep people as customers. So we keep coming back to the trough for more medicines, more testing, and then more diseases.

What happens: Woman, 37, lists the daily habits behind her near-zero inflammation marker.
Tell me why I need to take creatine and when. Is it just when I work out or what? Creatine is actually a source of energy. The cells in the body that actually use the most amount of energy are the muscle and the brain. Studies have actually shown creatine boosts brain function. Actually, if you're really tired, have had a sleepless night, I actually double my dose of in the morning, Is like a caffeine kind of thing. So it's not a direct energy source. What it does is provide the building blocks your body uses to create energy. If I take it, when will I feel the energy boost. You should be taking it every single day. Whether or not you work out, you should take it every single day. This is that you need for brain function. Are actually much higher than the doses that you need for muscle building. So people usually take around 3 grams for muscle building. For the brain, you need to start around 5 grams. I typically take between 7.5 and 10 grams if I'm recovering. Otherwise, I take between 5 and 7.5 daily. This is 5 grams. But the most important thing is drinking it with a lot of water actually affect your kidney functions. What happens: Creator explains how AI boosted cell reprogramming to reset cells to age 20
Scientists just figured out how to reverse aging with AI. And this is a massive breakthrough. We can now reprogram any human cell back to age 20. Heart cells, skin cells, brain cells, all reset to their biological prime. And here's the wildest part. The technology to do this has existed since 2012. It won the Nobel Prize. But the real breakthrough wasn't possible until this year when they supercharged it with AI. It's a wild story. So in 2006, scientists discovered Yamanaka factors. They're proteins that can basically convert any normal cell into a universal stem cell. Now this discovery was a huge deal because these stem cells are basically like magic healers. If you have torn muscle tissue, you can inject these stem cells into the area and they will turn into the youthful muscle cells that you need. So Yamanaka factors were an insane breakthrough because they allowed any human to turn any cell you already have into a magic healer. But there was one big problem. It turns out the original Yamanaka factors weren't very good at this stem cell conversion. They could do it, but they just weren't reliable enough to make a product. Enter open AI, and this is where things get crazy. Open AI designed a special AI model built specifically to create new proteins. Think of it like chatGPT, but for protein engineering. So they took all the original Yamanaka research and gave it to this AI model to go ham on improving it. And guess what happened? Their new version is 50 times more effective than the original. They tested it on 50 year old cells and it successfully started repairing 30% of the cells in just seven days. And this isn't science fiction, this actually happened. And it sounds crazy, but in a few years, humans will be able to take a shot that literally reverses the age of their cells. Shout out science.

“The number one best food for slowing aging is not blueberries and it's not green tea.”
First words spoken
What happens: Dr. Berg says aging starts in mitochondria and lists the nutrients they need
The number one best food for slowing aging is not blueberries and it's not green tea. Those are great, but here's a truth. You don't get older because you run out of antioxidants. You age because there's something wrong in your mitochondria. These are the cellular engines that actually give you energy. When they start becoming damaged faster than the repair process, that's when we start to age. We really need food to feed our mitochondria. What they crave and what they need is cofactors. Cofactors are helper nutrients that allow the mitochondria to work correctly. One of the most important one is magnesium. Others are B1, B2, B3, which is niacin, B12, coenzyme Q10, copper, which is a trace mineral, iron, which most people have enough of that. And you can get enough of these nutrients by consuming whole foods and animal meats, fermented vegetables like sauerkraut or kimchi, high-quality dairy products like cheese, kefir, or even some yogurt. Eggs, fish, and seafood will definitely give you those nutrients.

What happens: Doctor duets a bottled water owner blaming plastic bottles for rising cancer
Why's everybody dying from cancer? Oh, well, cancer is a very complicated issue. That's why. Or Prostate cancer, colon cancer, stomach cancer, this is why. Ask yourself, what has changed over the last 20 years? Let's see, increasingly sedentary lifestyles, obesity, consuming higher amounts of ultra-processed foods while not consuming enough fiber. This right here. Or This water sitting in fumes for anywhere from 3 to 6 months. You want to know how I know? I used to own the largest bottled water company in Northern California called Hillcrest Spring Water. Yeah, I kind of just have to agree with Hank on this one. You're establishing your expertise in this area by saying that you ran a water bottling plant, which has very little to do with understanding the physiology of how plastic interacts with human bodies and may increase the risk of cancer. I'm telling you right now, the only thing that's really changed is the way we drink water. And I'm telling you that is definitely not the only thing that's changed. This is killing people. Yeah, so as Hank also points out in this video, cancer rates are actually declining with the exception of some like colon cancer, which again come back to things like fiber. And also this, which is interesting. Weirdly, like ultra-marathon running. Turns out that could be very damaging to the digestive system, but if you're regular running, that's great. Don't worry about Here's my thoughts on this. While there is ongoing research about microplastics and its links with cancer, which are not confirmed but plausible, how about we focus on the major things and not scare people unnecessarily. Out of 10? I can't buy it.

Anti-Alzheimer's pinky exercise 7:45 p.m. sharp every day. Nobody's exempted. Wow. So, does this work? Okay, so here are top three ways to prevent dementia. Number one is exercise. This is the single intervention with the strongest evidence. Number two is stay socially connected. Loneliness and isolation is one of the highest risk factors for cognitive decline. Number three is challenge your brain. Whether it's learning a new hand movement, a hobby, a new language, brain is just like muscle. If you don't use it, you lose it.

What happens: Creator explains how plastic salt grinders shed plastic specks into food
So people are finding out that they've been grinding plastics directly into their food for years and nobody has noticed. It started when a guy discovered something strange about his Costco pink salt grinder. He kept finding tiny black specks in his food, so he investigated, and why he found is that the grinder mechanism inside the part doing all of the work is made out of plastic. And when you grind plastic against salt crystals which are essentially rocks, the plastic loses every time. The crazy thing is that the vast majority of salt and pepper grinders on the market use a plastic core. So millions of people have been seasoning their food with a side of microplastics without knowing.

What happens: Doctor counts down seven foods that fight inflammation while you sleep
Here are seven foods that fight inflammation while you sleep. Pay attention to number seven. Number one, salmon. Omega-3s tell your body to stop producing inflammation while you rest. Number two, pineapple. It contains a natural compound that actually breaks down swelling in your joints while you sleep. Number three is kefir. It reduces inflammatory markers while you sleep by repairing your gut lining. Number four, pomegranate. One of the most powerful foods on earth for fighting inflammation. A small glass before bed goes a very, very long way. Number five is beets. Most people sleep on these. The compound inside them directly block the signals that drive joint pain overnight. Number six is pumpkin seeds. Your body uses magnesium and zinc overnight to repair your tissue and calm the inflammation. These have both. Number seven is kiwi. In one study, eating two kiwis before bed improved your sleep quality by 42%. Your body does its deepest repair work while you sleep. Give it what it needs.
FastingBy Dr. Berg Shorts
“What would actually happen if you ate one meal a day every single day for 30 days?”
First words spoken
What happens: Dr. Berg walks hour by hour through eating one meal a day
What would actually happen if you ate one meal a day every single day for 30 days? When you do one meal a day OMAD, you are fasting for literally 23 hours. The first 8 hours, this is when your body is digesting, processing, storing fat, and then we go from 8 hours to 12 hours of fasting. Stored sugar called glycogen starts to drop because it's being used. It's being used as energy. Your body is starting to make ketones, which are another fuel source that our brains actually love. Between 12 hours and 16, your glycogen is really, really low at this point and you are burning fat. And right about 16 hours, you're going to start this thing called autophagy. This is the cleanup crew. This is where your body is starting to recycle old damaged proteins. Now, when we get to hours 16 through 23, now we're getting into much deeper autophagy, especially in your liver, your muscles, and more importantly, in your brain. So, let me just explain what happens when you start one meal a day from day one to day three. This is the most difficult time to do one meal a day. Why? Because your body is switching over into making ketones and your cellular biochemistry has to change and in that change process, sometimes it's not as smooth as you would like. So, you might get a little hungry. Now, on day three, your hunger is going away. You're not going to have any appetite. You're going to be kind of surprised like I'm not even hungry. I'm not craving anything. And then also on day four through day seven, this is when your body is going to be adapted to ketones and fat burning. So, things are going to run a lot smoother. Probably the biggest thing you're going to notice is your brain. You're going to feel sharper, have better concentration, and your overall mood is going to be elevated because you are spiking something called brain-derived neurotrophic factor. It will help you grow new connections. This is why intermittent fasting is so powerful, because you're mimicking an environment of infrequent eating. You would think that if you didn't eat very frequently that the cortisol, the stress hormone, would go up. It doesn't. It actually goes down significantly. Day 15 through 30, this is where you get a massive growth hormone spike. Growth hormone is one of the most important tissue repair hormones that you have. It helps rebuild muscle. It helps repair your discs, your tendons, your ligaments. It also helps you lose weight.

First words spoken
What happens: Creator reacts to a Mario Lopez clip on billionaires living forever, then pitches glutathione.
The billionaires are planning to live forever. And Mario Lopez just exposed how. Just watch this carefully. Do you know what I'm gonna do? You want me to tell you right now? Is it true? Is it true that we can now if we take care of ourselves? If I'm taking this, like, for example, this Gary Burke, a root. Hmm. Can a person really live comfortably to, like, 100 and 10 and 15 and twenty? To 100 and forty? Come on. Yes. Come on. Get out of here. Are you serious? Eighty is about to be the new 40. At first, I was like, this is a bunch of bullshit. So I went and did some digging. That's when I came across the video of that same doctor, Jerry Brecca. Just listen to what he has to say. What was astounding to me when I started my wellness practice was the paucity of knowledge and understanding about this miracle antioxidant. Um, I understand it to be the most prevalent antioxidant in human body. Um, every single cell in our bodies contains glutathione. It's manufactured by our liver. But I feel like it's the mother of all antioxidants that most people have never heard of. It's a mother of all antioxidants. That's just one of the function. On top of that, our body produces free radicals. And that's how you always gonna be aging. The only thing that you can control is the pace. So if you can age, let's See, every six months, you only age one month, right? Wouldn't that be better? So they're talking about glutathione. basically the thing that protects our cells from damage and stress. But the problem is, not only do our bodies glutathione levels naturally decline as we age, but a lot of the things that we do on a regular basis are slowly taking all of our glutathione away. And that's when you wake up one day and you feel like you aged 20 years overnight like this. But by supplementing with glutathione, not only can it naturally bring your levels back up, which can be really helpful and support things like liver cleansing after a night out, brightening and clearing your skin, those aching bones and joints, that brain fog, and overall mental clarity, but most importantly, it can support your body to properly fight back against those unwanted bugs and free radicals that are just trying to hurt you. Now, before you go and get some, a random bottle of this stuff, listen carefully to what this scientist had to say. Is the exact one you want to take in order for it to work. People wanna supplement with it because they've heard about glutathione and how beneficial it is and how it's a great antioxidant. The problem is, this kind of glutathione isn't gonna make it inside of your cells. So this is just a waste of time. It is. You're gonna Wanna get something called liposomal glutathione, Liposomal glutathione has been shown to get inside. This is the one I ended up getting from Rosabella. It's liposomal so it's actually gonna absorb. Not only does this brand have over a million orders and a ton of 5 star reviews, but these guys are clean, made in the USA, gluten free, non GMO, 3rd party lab tested. Which means you are getting a clean, safe product. They also have free 3 day shipping and a 90 day risk free money back guarantee, so there is a literally no reason for you not to try it. But fair warning, the secret is out on this as actually for Gen Xers like me, so it is extremely hard to find. They're actually doing a crazy deal on TikTok right now, so if you see that orange car I would definitely grab two.

adding these five vegetables into your meals can make a big difference. And you can find all of these pretty much in every grocery store. First up, we have kale. It's loaded with fibre and antioxidants that actually hold back glucose and prevent it from flooding into your bloodstream. Next, Brussels sprouts are high in vitamin C, fibre and antioxidants that actually help your cells respond better to insulin so they can pull out glucose out of your bloodstream. Next, we have okra, which some people call nature's blood sugar sponge. That sticky sugar inside helps slow down sugar from hitting your bloodstream. Try it grilled or in soups. Next we have spinach, but make sure you apply heat to reduce the oxalates by up to 90%. It's super low in carbs but rich in magnesium. And magnesium is like a secret weapon helping your cells use insulin more effectively. The more effective your insulin, the less glucose stuck in your blood. Add to omelette, soups, or even pastas. Next is broccoli. It contains sulforaphane, a plant compound that repairs blood vessels from blood sugar damage. If you're using something else, drop it in the comments and let us know. Or if you need help reversing your blood sugar issues, watch my other videos.

“The real reason your body ages after 50 years old and it's not what you think.”
First words spoken
What happens: Dr. Berg draws risk bars showing VO2 max predicts early death best
The real reason your body ages after 50 years old and it's not what you think. Scientists tracked 120,000 people over 8 years and when they were done, there was one single measurement that predicted who would die the earliest. More than people who smoked, more than people who had diabetes, more than people who had heart disease. And no, it wasn't the cholesterol, it wasn't your weight, it wasn't your blood pressure. So, when we're looking at aging, we're looking at the rate at which your body is aging. And the question is what measurement would give you the best indication of aging? And that measurement is VO2 max. So, I want you to ignore the name VO2 max right now. Just realize VO2 max is the measurement of how fuel and oxygen go through the energy factory, the mitochondria, to make energy. Over here, we have the risk of dying, a little scale. I drew some bar graphs right here. And if we just take a look at heart disease, for example. So, when you have heart disease, you have a 1.3 times risk of dying. High blood pressure, that increases your risk of dying by 1.4 times. Being unfit, aka low VO2 max, is a five times risk of dying. All of these other risk factors that so many people put so much attention on trying to improve. Yet, being unfit is five x Okay, if we just compare them. I personally do this three times a week. Number one, regular long walks for 30 to 60 minutes. You want to walk at a pace that you could still have a regular conversation with someone without being out of breath. This type of exercise, which is called aerobic exercise, builds more mitochondria. I do this, these Norwegian 4 by 4s, is the thing that will increase the VO2 max the most. It's been researched, it's been studied, and I personally can tell you it does do that cuz it increased my VO2 max. Number three is build some muscle. Resistance training, weight training, super important. Muscle is a giant fuel tank that can help soak up excess glucose. The last thing I want to recommend is intermittent fasting. Why? Because this aligns with what our body thrives on, which is eating periodically, not too frequently, allowing our bodies to go through autophagy, which is actually the cleaning up of damaged cell parts, including damaged mitochondria. So, there's a lot of benefits to intermittent fasting, especially with longevity.

Six out of 10. Good protein, but dairy sits wrong with a lot of guts. Mine included. Almond to milk. Four out of 10. Barely any almonds, mostly gums and fillers. Me so. Eight out of 10. For a minute and loaded with good bacteria, just go easy on the salt.

What happens: Neurologist walks through the Lancet finding that 45% of dementia is preventable
I'm a neurologist, and I want to talk about what the largest dementia prevention study ever published actually says. The 2024 Lancet Commission, the most comprehensive dementia report in history, analyzed data from hundreds of thousands of people across decades, and their conclusion? 45% of dementia cases worldwide are potentially preventable by just addressing 14 modifiable risk factors. 45%. Let that sink in. Of those 14 modifiable risk factors, I'll give you the four most surprising ones: high blood pressure, hearing loss, social isolation, and physical inactivity. Notice number four on that list? Physical inactivity. Now, here's where hand exercises come in, and why neuroscience is solid, regardless of what anyone says. Clock it. Neuroplasticity, your brain's ability to build new connections, is not disputed science. It is established, peer-reviewed, decades-old neuroscience. And a 2025 study from Kobe University found that finger movement interventions improved attention, executive function, and working memory in healthy older adults. Not people with dementia, healthy people. Your hands take up more cortical space than almost any other body part. Sequential finger movements activate your motor cortex, sensory cortex, cerebellum, and frontal lobe simultaneously. That's neuroplasticity happening in real time. Hand exercises are not the complete answer to dementia prevention. The Lancet Commission gives you the complete picture, and physical activity is right there on the list. Hand exercises are one accessible, evidence-backed, zero-cost way to stay active and challenge your brain daily. That's why I teach them, and that's what the science actually says. Save this, and share it with someone who needs to clock it.

Just be careful when taking glutathione during the first couple weeks because your provider is likely not going to bring this up. But as a 52 year old Holistic Health Practitioner and Certified longevity coach, I'll never gatekeep this type of information. So here are the top five things I personally experienced in starting glutathione. The fourth one for sure, no one is talking about, and the last one may surprise you. Number one, it definitely helped with my inflammation, my puffiness, my brain fog, and overall, I just feel and look better. This was me just a few months ago. You tell me. Number two, it has definitely helped me to detox. And unfortunately, we're exposed to a lot of it every single day, from the American diet to pollution, including all the recent news about heavy metals and microplastics inside us. And let's be honest here, we've had those weekends where we probably had just a little bit too much to drink. Number three, it's been great for my immune system. And as a father of two boys, I used to catch whatever bug my guys used to bring home. But now I feel more resilient, and I haven't been knocked down since No. 4. It's been great for my energy. I'm noticing better workouts, more stamina, steadier energy throughout my day, and fewer afternoon crashes because I have stopped down in special shots just to get through No. 5. I noticed that my skin just looks firmer. And healthier. I'm surprised I have this healthy glow in my 50s. And if you're looking for a recommendation, this is the one that I've been using from Esther Formula. What's important here is that this one is a liposomal glutathione in these fast dissolving strips. They have this really impressive technology that delivers glutathione through your oral mucosa for instant absorption. And this one also includes L cysteine to help your body produce even more glutathione, vitamin C and E to support your antioxidant defenses, and milk thistle for both liver and brain health. I also appreciate that it's third party, lab tested, vegan friendly additive and sugar free. And made in the USA. Since glutathione has been trending lately, this one is often out of stock. But if you see a link right here, I would hurry because that means it's back in stock.

First words spoken
What happens: Creator introduces a biologist's clip on glutathione, then sells it.
Put down the magnesium, put down the vitamin C, the vitamin D, any supplement you're taking right now, stop and listen to what this human biologist has to say. What if I told you there's one molecule inside your body that you literally cannot live without, that's quietly running out every single day, and it's the difference between feeling 35 and feeling 65. They call it the master antioxidant. Your liver makes it, your immune system runs on it. Your skin glows because of it. Your mitochondria, the engines inside of every single cell, depend on it to make energy. Think about how important this must be to cellular function. If you make it inside your body on your own, it regenerates other antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin E, CO, Q10, and it extends their lifespan. So if I was to translate that, without enough glutathione, every other supplement you take is doing half its job. Now, here's the issue. We lose glutathione the older that we get. And we lose it even faster if we've been sick, under chronic stress, if we consume processed food and alcohol, or get bad sleep. So getting those levels back up is really important for proper immune function and for fighting oxidative stress, which is the root driver of pre mature ageing and disease. As a holistic wellness coach certified and naturopathy, I'm really picky about what supplements I take. So if you want a recommendation for a high quality glutathione, I love the One that Micro Ingredients just released. They've also included alpha lipoic acid and research shows this is a very potent formula because alpha lipoic acid actually helps your body boost more of its own. Glutathione. I love Micro's products because they never use any cheap fillers, only clean ingredients. It's lab tested at G. M. P. Certified and made in the U. So if you're tired of feeling like you are taking all of these supplements and not noticing much of a difference, grab some glutathione. If you wanna try this one I will drop it down below in the orange cart and feel free to comment if you have any questions.

First words spoken
What happens: Narrator explains using your non-dominant hand daily to build new brain pathways
Starting tomorrow morning, 2 minutes of your existing routine can begin building new neural pathways in your brain. And the science behind why this works is genuinely fascinating. Follow along because I share brain health research every week that's actually actionable for people over 50. So, here's what's happening. When you brush your teeth with your dominant hand, which for most people is your right hand, your brain is on autopilot. The motor cortex executes a deeply ingrained pattern with almost no active cognitive processing. Zero neurological effort, zero growth stimulus. Now, switch to your non-dominant hand. For most people, that would be their left hand. And then everything changes. Your brain is suddenly forced to recruit new motor pathways. The prefrontal cortex activates to manage a task that it has no efficient pattern for. Neural connections that were dormant began firing. And with repetition over a few days and weeks, those connections strengthen into actual structural changes in your brain tissue. That is neuroplasticity. And here's why I think it matters so much, especially for people over 50. Cognitive reserve is the brain's ability to absorb damage from things like aging, stress, from early stages of neurodegeneration without showing clinical symptoms. People with higher cognitive reserve can have significant Alzheimer's pathology in their brain and yet still show minimal memory symptoms for years longer than those without it. So, neuroplasticity building habits, that's how you build a cognitive reserve. And you don't need a brain training app or a clinical program to do it. You simply need to brush your teeth with the wrong hand, you know, your non-dominant hand. But here's what I think also makes it more powerful than it sounds on the surface. And I want you to stay with me for this part. The motor cortex changes the habit's triggers. So, those changes don't just stay isolated in one region. They cascade across your brain. Research on a cross-lateral movement, that is using the opposite opposite side of your body from the usual, shows downstream benefits in things like language processing, memory consolidation, and even attention regulation. So, just 2 minutes every morning, that's already built into your day, your morning teeth brushing routine. I'm going to share three three more of these embedded daily habits that build in your cognitive reserve in an upcoming video. So, follow on and stay tuned for this. And share this with someone else who needs an easy brain health win today.

What happens: Dr. Berg names a high glutamine food as the best gut anti-inflammatory
There's one very powerful anti-inflammatory food that is going to surprise you. And I wish I knew about this a long time ago when I had my inflammation. I had a lot of gut inflammation. But you can apply this to any inflammation. This food has a very high level of glutamine. In fact, if you look at all the foods out there with the highest levels of glutamine, it would be this food. But let me just explain what glutamine is. It's an amino acid for your colon cells, which is a single layer of cells that line the inside of your colon. This forms the barrier to your immune system deeper inside. But your intestinal cells are very hungry for glutamine. In fact, out of all the glutamine, they hog like 30% of it, okay, for themselves. Glutamine is very important in producing ATP energy. Glutamine fuels the intestinal layer of the cells as well as the mucosal layer, where all the good bacteria hang out. And glutamine supports tight junctions. Now the question is, what food has the most glutamine? And the answer is meat. Specifically, beef. The thing that they're trying to get rid of right now. They're trying to get rid of cows because of just some ridiculous reason, but beef gives you a super healing protein, glutamine, that can greatly support your gut and other types of inflammatory conditions, whether you have an autoimmune or some other type of non-autoimmune joint problem or whatever. Now, you can actually take glutamine as well, but beef is the best anti-inflammatory food that you can possibly eat.

What happens: Bryan Johnson explains a study linking coffee and tea to lower dementia risk
If you're addicted to coffee, I actually have good news. A recent study showed that those who drank two to three cups of coffee per day were associated with an 18% lower risk of dementia. That's great, but uh I drink tea. Well, people who drank one to two cups of tea per day also showed a similar association with cognitive health. However, in this particular study, decaf drinkers showed no significant association. This suggests that caffeine may be the key driver of these neuroprotective effects. But, here's the catch. Caffeine has a 5-6 hour half-life. So, a cup of coffee at 3:00 p.m. leaves half a cup of coffee in your system at 9:00 p.m. That lingering caffeine wrecks your sleep. And poor sleep has tons of negative effects on cognitive health. Despite the benefits of caffeine, I choose to not have it. For me, it creates a physiological roller coaster. After 3 days, I'm addicted. If you're going to have multiple cups of coffee or tea, try to consume them earlier in the day. While caffeine may support the brain, interfering with sleep hurts it.

What happens: Presenter explains chronological versus biological age.
What's the difference between chronological age and biological age? Chronological age is essentially what's on your driver's license. When were you born? Biological age instead refers to the status, the. The aging status of the human body. What is your functionality, let's say? Right. And. And where are you placed based on the functionality in the biological age scale? So how old are you really? In a study looking at 38 year olds chronologically, some of them were over 50 years of age biologically, and some of them were less than 30 years old biologically. Right. So we know, for example, that just reducing biological age by five or 10 years could cut alzheimer's incidence by half. And we also know if we treated aging, we could gain up to 20, 30 years. We should move from the current sick care, where we wait until somebody has a disease and then we intervene, to longevity care, let's say, where we intervene, we treat aging, the body becomes biologically younger and it can stay highly functional for a longer period. And then after it stops being highly functional, it continues to be functional until, hopefully the person dies of. Of natural causes.

If you don't know what it is, it's a molecule in our body. It's a coenzyme that we all have, and it depletes as we age. Depletion is what is causing you to age, to fall apart, to have things go wrong. Because this is the energy, the battery for yourselves. It fuels your cells, and when you take it, it produces so much natural energy into yourselves that they literally heal and live longer. It's being called the liquid fountain of youth. Now, if you're seeing that flashing circle right there, that means we're live. And you can come in and ask any questions. But more than anything, you're getting the greatest deal in town. I have the lowest price on the entire planet. So if you come into the live, ask a couple questions, and find out why this is changing people's lives, you might be able to get a little bit of a change for yourself. I'll see you soon.

This is the leg of a 70-year-old woman who lifts weights. And this is the leg of a 70-year-old woman who does not lift weights. The difference is massive. I hear from people all the time, I don't want to get old. I want to die early. But imagine if you got into your 70-year-old years and you had that muscle mass. Imagine being able to keep your balance. Imagine being able to have the strength to go up the stairs, to go hike with your grandkids. Imagine the wisdom you can leave your kids, your grandkids, because you can actually live to an old enough age and you have your mind to do it. That's what resistance training and eating healthy can do for you. It really doesn't take that much. We're talking eat more protein, eat less sugar, and do some resistance training. Be sure to follow and share this video with somebody that needs to hear it.

What happens: Andrew Huberman shares a sleep trick with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show.
Close your eyes. You're lying in bed, you can't sleep, or you woke up, it's normal to go to the restroom in the middle of the night once or something, you get back in bed and now your mind's going. Okay. Okay. So with your eyes closed, you're gonna move your eyes slowly to one side, then to the other side, then up, I'm not kidding here, then down, then kind of counterclockwise, then clockwise, and now an inhale and a long exhale. There you go, there you go. So as crazy as this sounds, okay, I realize this probably sounds crazy, but there's something really important to understand, that these eye movements confuse the circuit between the eyes, the brainstem, and this thing called the cerebellum, and that circuit is responsible for knowing where your limbs are in space. And when you do this, it just confuses the circuit.

“The most dangerous carb in the world is not sugar.”
First words spoken
What happens: Dr. Berg says one common carb spikes blood sugar more than sugar
The most dangerous carb in the world is not sugar. Not even close. This carbohydrate spikes your blood sugar higher than sugar. Yet, it's not even classified as a sugar. It's a carb that bypasses every warning label that you're looking for. This one carb alone drives insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, and massive visceral fat in your gut. That's the fat that wraps around your organs. And once that happens, your metabolism is finished. This carb destroys the good microbes in your gut because pathogens, the bad guys, feed on this carb while starving your beneficial bacteria. It's one of the most inflammatory carbs on the planet. Not just joint pain, but gut inflammation where a lot of diseases start. And also, if you're worried about bad cholesterol, especially the type that's the small dense LDL, the stuff that kind of goes right deep into the arteries, this carb creates them in a heartbeat. Here's the scam. They're marketed as zero sugar. 25 lbs of this carb costs literally $5. That's like 20 cents a pound. Why so cheap? Because it's heavily subsidized. You, the taxpayers, pay for a lot of it. You actually pay three times. You pay for the subsidies. You buy it from the grocery store. And then you have to pay the doctor because you have side effects from it. And does it have any health benefits? Zero. It's not even a food. It's actually a filler to provide bulk. And the average person consumes 65 to 250 pounds of this stuff every single year. And we use it in gluten-free foods, baby formulas, baked goods, sports nutrition products. What is this carb? It's industrial starch labeled as modified food starch, modified corn starch, maltodextrin. I'm not talking about the potatoes that your grandmother has served you. I'm talking about factory engineered starch. And this is what a starch is. is a bunch of glucose molecules stuck in a chain that's highly refined and it breaks down super fast, spiking your insulin.

What happens: Bryan Johnson, in his home gym, answers what he is training for.
Things I've learned. Sleep is the world's most powerful drug. Be in your bed for 8 hours. Same bedtime every night, anytime before midnight. Don't eat right before bed. Calm foods for dinner. No screens one hour before bed. Avoid adding sugar, fried foods, and all things in American convenience stores. Shoes off at the door. Eat whole foods. Walk a little after meals or do air squats. Get your heart rate high routinely. Lift heavy things. Stretch daily. Water pick, floss, brush, tongue scrape morning and night. Make an effort to drink water. Get sunlight when you wake up. Protect skin in midday sun. Stand up straight. See at least one friend a week. Avoid plastic where you can. Circulate air in rooms. When stressed, breathe. Go to the dentist. Avoid sitting for long times. Protect your hearing. Alcohol is bad for you. Finish coffee before noon. Avoid bright lights after sunset. If obese, look at GLPs. Sleep is in a cold room. Text while driving is dangerous. Turn off all notifications. Limit social media use. Don't smoke anything. Read a book before bed. Have one hour wind-down routine. The body is a clock and loves routine. Avoid long-distance travel where you can. Do less. Both things don't work.

“There are simple signs that can quietly predict a long life and you can check most of them today at home by yourself.”
First words spoken
What happens: Narrator lists six signs over 60 that predict a long life, starting with walking speed
There are simple signs that can quietly predict a long life, and you can check most of them today at home by yourself. If you're over age 60, pay close attention, because the last one surprises most people. First, how fast you walk. This is one of the most reliable predictors that doctors have to assess your health. Multiple studies show that older adults who walk at a brisk, natural pace live significantly longer than slow walkers. That's because your walking speed reflects your heart, your muscles, and your balance all in one number. So if you can still walk with purpose, I think that's a very good sign. Second, your grip strength. How hard you can squeeze is a surprising window into your whole body strength. A weak grip is linked to higher rates of heart disease and earlier death, while a strong grip at age 60 says a lot about the years ahead. Third, getting up from a chair. Can you stand up from a seated position without using your hands to push off? That one simple move tests your leg strength and your balance all at the same time. And both are critical for avoiding the falls that so often steal an older person's independence. Fourth, how well you balance. Being able to stand on one leg for about 10 seconds is a strong marker of longevity. In fact, research has linked the inability to do it to a higher risk of dying in the years that Follow. Good balance means fewer falls, and falls are one of the biggest threats to your health after age 65. Fifth, staying socially connected. People with strong friendships and regular connection live longer than those who are isolated. In fact, chronic loneliness is as damaging to your health as even smoking 15 cigarettes a day. So if your calendar has people in it, that alone is helping protect your life. And sixth, how much you move all day, not just whether you exercise. You can hit the gym for an hour and still sit there for the other twelve. The people who live the longest tend to move constantly in small ways. Things like gardening, standing up often, walking to the mailbox. It's that steady, all day movement that matters the most. Now, if you didn't check every box here, don't worry. Here's the good news. Every single one of these things can be improved at any age. You can build your strength, your speed, your balance, and your social connections starting today. Follow along for more on aging well. And please share this with someone over age 60 that you want to see around living a long time.

This is my morning routine as someone trying to achieve immortality by 2039. I wake up naturally around 5.30 every morning. The first thing I do is get light in the eyes, set my circadian rhythm. Then I put in my eye drops, brush my teeth, water pig, and tongue scrape. I wear my red light cap for six minutes to stimulate hair growth. I head down and wake up Katara. Then I make breakfast, which is the same thing every day. I'll put the details on the screen. I take my morning pills with longevity mix. Then I'm off to the park to run with Katara. This is a new part of my daily routine, which I really love. Then I'm back home for a workout. I'm training to dunk a basketball. I then sauna for 20 minutes at 200 degrees Fahrenheit. The full breakdown of my sauna outfit is here. I shower and then drink 20 ounces of water with Blueprint ElectroLens. And then I'll do 40 minutes of IHHT. We are retesting this protocol. I have a breakdown video coming soon. After that, I do some quick skincare and then prep lunch for Katara and me. Then I start the workday and I'll work about nine hours. And that's my morning routine as someone who's trying to live forever.

“Here's five things you're probably not doing that will immediately make you a physically and mentally healthier member of society.”
First words spoken
What happens: Man lists five habits most people skip, starting with flossing.
Here's five things you're probably not doing that will immediately make you a physically and mentally healthier member of society. First up is flossing. Flossing is not some minuscule thing that you can get away with not doing. This is actually the root of where so many people's health problems actually begin. One study found that almost 100% of alzheimer's patients had a specific bacteria in their brain that's linked back to gum disease. Gum disease is also linked to heart attack, stroke, diabetes and even cancer. So stop making your dentist the bad guy for telling you to floss. Second, fibre. You've been hearing your whole life, make sure you get enough fibre. Well, why do you think you keep hearing that and yet 95% of Americans do not get enough fibre in their diet? Fibre will help prevent heart disease and diabetes, but more simply, it will help prevent you from getting fat. Pause the video. Here's how much fibre you need everyday. Third, meditation. So let me get this straight. You're chronically stressed and it's literally taking years off your life, and yet you won't try the single most powerful and free thing that humans have been doing for thousands of years? For morning sunlight? There is a master clock in your brain that dictates the release of hormones, whether it be cortisol, melatonin, testosterone, estrogen, serotonin, thyroid hormone, growth hormone, insulin, appetite hormones. And the only way for your master clock in your brain to know When to release these hormones is by viewing morning sunlight. And No. 5 walking. There's no coincidence that people who live in the Blue Zones, which are areas on earth where people consistently live the longest, have one thing in common. They don't have gym memberships. They are not Marathon runners. They just walk all day. So stop comparing yourself to influencers who run ultra marathons or can lift as much weight as a gorilla, and just go for a walk in the morning and a walk after dinner. You'll live longer. This page is holistic health from an athlete's lens. So follow me if you like this video, because I post videos like this everyday.

If you don't want the zit but take creatine. Don't want to get the loose saggy skin. Take collagen. You don't want thinning hair or wrinkles. Try hyaluronic acid and BCAAs. You think you've hit a little plateau or stall in your journey? Take vitamin D3. It's been shown to support effectiveness if you don't want PCOS symptoms like this. I suggest some myonisol and L glutamine. Tip though, don't do what I did. It took me one month of spending $400 on supplements that I needed to never do that again. Wasn't until I stumbled across this company. It's called a yes not but. It's a creatine stick but has everything I just named. And it tastes like peaches. I'll drink it every single day. I don't miss a day. My glutes have grown, I feel overall more balanced, and I'm definitely more glowy. Most important part is I don't feel like I'm disrespecting my wallet every time I take a drink. Travel packs honestly make it super convenient. Just mix it with 8 to 10 ounces of water. 36 in a pack, which is a whole month supply, which is more than enough. You could start seeing results if you're trying to get that extra support on your journey. I would grab this while they have it on sale. I'll leave it linked down below if you want to see for yourself.

“Japanese people celebrate longevity milestones at 60, 66, 70, 77, 80, 88, 90, 99, 100, 108, 111, and 120.”
First words spoken
What happens: Creator tells the story of a long-lived Japanese noblewoman behind longevity birthdays
Japanese people celebrate longevity milestones at 60, 66, 70, 77, 80, 88, 90, 99, 100, 108, 111, and 120. This tradition was likely necessitated single-handedly by a Japanese woman who lived in the 11th century. Or I should say throughout the 11th century. Fujiwara no Sadako sama was a noble woman who was born in 1196. This was around the time period called the Kamakura period when the average life expectancy was just 24. So, they had their first longevity celebration when they reached the age of 40 because 40 was considered the beginning of your senior years. Only 10% lived past 50. Only 5% lived past 60. And during this time, SADAKO LIVED UP TO 106. UNTIL SADAKO, Japan had only seen longevity celebrations at the 40, 50, and 60 marks. There were probably a few people who lived past 70, but there was no system to celebrate that because it was so rare. But, Sadako, during her long life, she became the grandmother of two emperors and the great GRANDMOTHER OF TWO MORE EMPERORS PLUS A SHOGUN. SHE WAS TOO IMPORTANT to go uncelebrated. So, the noble world was like, "Hey, isn't Sadako sama's birthday coming up next month?" "That's right." "Is she still alive?" "If she's alive, she'll become 70. Okay, let me check her room." "She's going to be 70. Then we have to do something. Her Her 60-year celebration was was huge. It has to be huger. Okay, I don't know what to call it, but but we'll have a massive party." 10 years later. "Hey, isn't Sadako sama's birthday coming up next month?" "That is right. She's still alive." "If she's alive, she'll become 80. Okay, let me check her room." "She's going to be 80. Oh, bigger one. She's now THE GRANDMOTHER OF THREE EMPERORS. TIME TO RETIRE." "OKAY, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO CALL IT, BUT A MASSIVE PARTY COMING UP." 10 YEARS LATER. "SO, my colleague has passed away. So, if she's still alive, I'LL DO ALL THE PARTY preparations by myself. And it's going TO BE THE HUGEST PARTY EVER BECAUSE NOW SHE'S LIKE LIKE THERE'S A BIG MAMA OF FOUR EMPERORS PLUS A PLUS A SHOGUN." "SHE'S ALIVE." SO, AFTER SADAKO FINALLY PASSED away in 1302, the noble world was like, "There could be a next Sadako anytime. I WAS SO READY TO do 108. Systematize longevity celebrations so that you guys won't have to panic every 10 years. Do not underestimate human potential." Scholars suspect that's why we have so many longevity celebrations after 70. And by the way, nobody has reached it yet, but technically, there is even a 250-year milestone celebration. JUST IN CASE.
Aging wellBy @savingdinner
“Five reasons that you're going to age well or you're not. And I've got notes, so listen, pull up your big girl panties, cause we're going in.”
First words spoken
What happens: Woman talks to camera through five reasons you will age well or not.
Five reasons that you're going to age well or you're not. And I've got notes, so listen, pull up your big girl panties, cause we're going in. Number one, how you are aged, by the way, is not just influenced by your family genetics. Everybody says, well, it's in my family. Well, that's only a very small part of the puzzle. You. How you age is more affected with what it is that you do or don't do. Okay, number one, you build muscle or you lose independence. I shared this before, but there was a woman doctor who is saying, if you choose not to lift weights, then go choose your nursing home, because that is where you're headed. It's not just a matter of getting up off the toilet either, which, right, we don't want help with that. But it's also a matter of getting out and going about your day and doing the things that you're doing now. Do you want to lose them? Do you want to lose your ability to drive? Do you want to lose your ability to go on a vacation? This is why we want to build muscle. We want to be able to carry our own groceries in. We even want to be able to put an overhead bag in at the, you know, on the airplane if we're that strong. But if you fell on the floor, could you get back up? That's a question that you need to ask Yourself. How strong am I? Studies have shown that those who have very strong leg muscles live longer and have better cognitive ability. Muscle means independence. Number two. You respect your sleep or you pay for it. Here's the deal. People always say, you know, I'll sleep when I'm dead, or, you know, as long as I'm getting eight hours. No, your body has a circadian clock and it's listening. We need to be in bed by 10, asleep from ten PM till 2:00am, across the board, no matter where it is that you're living, at your ten PM, this is when your body does the clean up. There is stuff in your brain that needs to be swept up and taken out. The trash gets taken out at that time. It doesn't happen any other time. So you night owls fix it. You're not a night owl. You're just used to doing this. And I'm gonna tell you right, right now. People spend hundreds of dollars, I know, on skincare, but they don't spend a minute thinking about how important their sleep is at this age, this stage in life. I'm 68. I will not sacrifice my sleep for anything. It means that much. Number three. You feed your future self, not your cravings. Listen, if you're gonna feed your cravings, you're going to find yourself in a world of hurt. Because here's the thing you need to know. This is the takeaway. Food is not neutral. Food doesn't Care what your thoughts are on asparagus and steak. Food doesn't care whether or not you're going to eat all the chips or buy the. The junk food through the drive through. Doesn't care. Food has no opinion. But your body has an opinion, and your body will look at it and say, this is something I can use, or this is something that's going to inflame me. There's no neutral, and we need to understand that because we get emotional about food. We get this, you know, entitlement thing. Everything in moderation. No, no, that's just complete and utter foolishness. Sure, treats every once in a while, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, I get that. I'm not saying be extraordinarily stringent and never enjoy anything. I'm saying look at what your everyday life looks like. Your food is telling on you. It's telling on you. You're either going to have the energy from the food you're eating, or it's going to suck you dry because it's just not there. You don't get nutrients from garbage. Sorry. It's just the way it is. Number four, you stay curious or your brain literally shrinks. Be someone who learns. Be someone who reads. Stay off the TV, for heaven's sakes. And off the scrolling mechanism. You know what I'm talking about? Um. And. And mix it up a little bit. Go attend some talk at your local whatever, library and find out about something. Start a new hobby. Learn a new language. Do Something. If you exercise your brain, your brain is going to serve you. If you don't, your word world starts to become smaller and smaller and smaller. I lost my father in law to alzheimer's and I watched him when he was 65 and he retired. He was a very, you know, he was a well known doctor. Um, his world got tinier and tinier and tinier. Watching Matlock reruns on TV all day long. That doctor's brain rotted, yours will too. No.5. You accept responsibility or you blame everything else. No one is coming to rescue. No one is going to chop up your food unless you're in a nursery home, nursing home, by the way. No one's gonna do it for you. You've got to do this for yourself. And I will tell you this, doctors will tell you this as well. They can't make you healthier. That's your job. They can stop the bleeding, literally. They can give you medications to control subs symptoms rather, but they can't make you healthier. That's on you. You're the one that needs to do the walking. You're the one that needs to hydrate your body and go to bed at a decent hour, take your supplements and eat like your life depends on it. Because it does, you know. Look, this isn't about looking younger than we are. This is about continuing to have the adventure of living a life we want. If you're in your 60s, you know, Exactly what I'm talking about. I'm staring down 70, but I. I'll tell you one thing. I'm looking at. What do I want this next 10 years to look like? How can I optimize it? I'm not just gonna take a chance and hope for the best, are you? Your future is being built by the choices that you make today. You. You're the one who has the answer. You're the one who makes that decision. You're the one who's loading the food into your grocery cart and deciding when to go to bed and not. Aging is inevitable, but decline is optional.

What happens: Doctor explains studies linking thigh muscle size to longer life and sharper memory.
New research says that the size of your thighs predicts how long you will live and the science behind that is one of the most important things that anyone older than 50 might need to understand. So follow along because I think this changes how you think about your body as you age. A landmark study published in the British Medical Journal found that they followed nearly 3,000 adults for over 12 years. People with smaller thighs had significantly higher rates of heart disease and premature death and that finding held up even after controlling for things like belly fat, blood pressure, smoking and every other risk factor that was measured. A larger analysis then looked at 72 studies covering more than two and a half million people and the same conclusion. Thigh size independently predicted how long people lived. But here's what I think most people get completely wrong about this. It's not about fat but about muscle. Your thighs are the largest muscle group in your body and leg muscles, leg muscle mass turns out to be one of the most powerful predictors of how long you'll survive. When your leg muscle mass is high, your body clears blood sugar efficiently after meals, your insulin resistance stays low and your heart is protected. When it's low, inflammation builds quietly over the years and your cardiovascular system may pay the price. There's also a brain connection that most people have never heard. Researchers at King's College London followed over 300 pairs of twins and found that the twin with the greater leg strength had much better memory and measurably faster thinking a decade later. So same genetics and different leg strength was the only issue and different cognitive outcomes. So here's the important nuance though. The research shows a threshold effect. Below a certain thigh size, the risk of early death climbs sharply and above a certain size, bigger does not mean better. So I think this isn't about like, you know, you don't need to become an athlete but it's about not losing the muscle that's quietly keeping you alive. So alive. So do things like walk uphill, climb stairs, squats, resistance training. Not vanity exercises but some but some of the most evidence-backed longevity tools that are available to you right now. If you're caring for an aging parent, watch your legs. Loss of lower body muscle is one of the earliest signs of accelerating decline and one of the most reversible. What happens: Dermatologist explains Lancome's skin longevity line with urolithin A.
As a dermatologist, I always tell my patients that aging does not begin when you see wrinkles. It begins before signs become visible on the skin. That is what makes Lancome's new Absolute Longevity MD so unique. It approaches skin aging based on where you are biologically, helping you anticipate, intercept, and reset visible signs of aging at every life stage. For younger skin, anticipate helps defend against oxidative stress, one of the earliest triggers of biological aging, with 50% less incoming skin oxidation and fewer future fine lines as aging signs begin to appear. Intercept combines a serum and cream powered by mitopure, the breakthrough longevity molecule urolithin A, to support elasticity and cellular renewal. And for more established aging concerns. Reset supports faster skin renewal and improved bounce. That is the future of skincare. Not just addressing skin aging, but proactively supporting skin function over time. Try it and let me know what you think.

“The oldest woman ever alive, she smoked and she drank.”

What happens: Coach says the oldest people shared calm nervous systems, not optimization protocols
The oldest woman ever alive, she smoked and she drank. Smoked cigarettes and drank alcohol. I don't want to encourage you to drink or smoke, but if you really want to live long, you know what was her secret? She didn't take supplements, she didn't do ice bath, she didn't do yoga, she didn't do none of that. But she was chilled. The woman she was referring to was Jeanne Calment, and she lived to 122. She also smoked cigarettes, she drank red wine, and no, she didn't do any of the optimization protocols that you see a lot of people promoting. But here's what nobody talks about. When we look at the oldest people who are alive right now, the one thing they all share isn't really their diet or their habits, it's actually their nervous system. Ethel Caterham, 116 years old, her reported secrets was she never argues with anyone. She always listens and takes everything in stride. Maria Branyas lived to 117 years old. Researchers who studied her genes found that she had unusually low inflammation markers and the stress response that simply didn't overreact the way most people do. And most of the research that you see on the longest-lived people in the world, not a lot of them were optimizing, all of them were calm. And it makes sense because chronic stress keeps your cortisol elevated, elevated cortisol accelerates cellular aging, it drives inflammation, disrupts sleep, breaks down muscle. It also increases visceral fat. But a calm nervous system, it does the complete opposite. It keeps inflammation low, your hormones balanced, and your cell aging at a slower rate. So yes, Jeanne Calment smoked, but she also famously said this about stress. If you can't do anything about it, don't worry about it. And that wasn't a quirk, that was actually her longevity protocol. It's not that biohacks are useless, but if your nervous system is running hot every day, no supplement, sauna, or blood panel is going to save you. Being calm is the most underrated health metric alive. I'm Dan Go, and follow me for more honest takes on what actually drives longevity.

“How to never get cancer. Vitamin D.”
First words spoken
What happens: Dr. Berg runs through his list for avoiding cancer, from vitamin D to cold
How to never get cancer. Vitamin D. I would keep your vitamin D levels between 60 and 80 at the very minimum. Number two, cold therapy. Your body has to maintain 98.6. You just got into a cold tank. It's 50° or 40°. It's freezing. It has to cause that mitochondria just to work like crazy. Not to make energy, but just to make heat. Intermittent fasting is the most important way to prevent cancer. two meals a day, one meal a day, you go maybe once a month, three days or even 5 days of no eating. Number four, if you're grilling steak or meat on the grill, that charring of the meat and the fat is carcinogenic to certain degree. But if you add some herbs, garlic, thyme, sage, or even onions, these herbs have all sorts of plant-based chemicals that protect you against cancer, but they also support the mitochondria. If you're getting a CAT scan or X-rays, you're getting radiation. Request not to get an X-ray so frequently. And if you do get an X-ray, make sure you shield that thyroid. Next point here is folate. When you have a folate deficiency, it's very similar to being exposed by radiation. As far as the damage on your DNA, you can get folate from dark leafy green vegetables or even liver. Number seven, methylene blue. The pigment in this methylene blue helps to absorb some of the free radicals from the electrons that are being uh generated in the mitochondria and it protects you. Number eight, prolong fasting is the most powerful out of any of these things right here, especially if you had a stage 4 cancer that it's spreading. The only thing you can really do at that point is prolong fasting. Nine, the ketogenic diet helps to correct insulin resistance. Number 10, avoid snacking. Next one right here is omega-3 fatty acids. That would be like civer oil or fish oil. This is very important to prevent inflammation. Number 12, sulfurophane. This is a compound that helps detoxification, getting rid of poisons in your liver. 13. Iron. Cancer cells will use iron apply a lot faster. They like iron. If you're taking iron supplements, not good because too much iron creates a lot of inflammation. And number 14, selenium. that helps you get rid of hydrogen peroxide in your body which can create damaged tissues. Number 15 is magnesium. You cannot make energy without magnesium and the mitochondria depends on magnesium. So it's super important. So having enough magnesium

“Dr. Patrick, you mentioned omega-3s, and I know that there are five supplements that, based on the research, you recommend that everyone takes.”
First words spoken
What happens: Mel Robbins podcast clip: Rhonda Patrick names five supplements to start with.
Dr. Patrick, you mentioned omega-3s, and I know that there are five supplements that, based on the research, you recommend that everyone takes. What are those five supplements that should be on our list, and how much should you be taking? So omega-3s are really at the top of the list, mostly because most people don't want to eat two servings of fish per week either. And it seems as though to get from a low omega-3 index to a high omega-3 index, it takes about two grams a day. So that's a pretty good starting point for omega-3 supplementation. The second would be a multivitamin. And depending on what the serving size is, I take one a day because that's my serving size. Some multivitamins are three capsules. So you want to take one of those, and that's filling a lot of nutritional gaps. And then you want to take a vitamin D. Vitamin D is very important because it is converted into a hormone. 70% of us are not getting enough of it. Usually a good spot for vitamin D is 4,000 I use a day. So the fourth supplement would be magnesium. Magnesium is a very, very important cofactor for 300 different processes in the body. I personally like to take 250 milligrams a day. That's two capsules of my 125. And that seems to help me when I take it at night with sleep as well. Plus I'm getting to that goal of about 300. For me, it's more like 350 milligrams a day because I do sweat and you lose magnesium through sweat. So that would be the fourth supplement. And then lastly, creatine is something I think a lot of people can benefit because one, it does, if you're working out and exercising, which you should be after this episode, you know that exercise snacks are achievable, attainable, and that you should be doing them every day. Like you brush your teeth. That'll help you with those exercise snacks. It'll make them easier. You'll be able to do them more. You'll recover quicker. Really? Yes. Yes, they will. Like if I take creatine powder in the morning, how much am I taking? You're taking 10 grams. I would do, I do five and five. So I do five before my workout and then I do five after my workout. Okay. The reason the creatine is going to help you with that workout, by the way, it's going to take about four weeks before your muscles saturate. So four weeks of getting at least five grams a day, your muscles will be saturated. So if you're starting off fresh, give yourself about a month. Okay. So it's not like magic juice. I'm not going to take this and all of a it'll take four weeks before it builds up in your muscle. And once you get to that buildup point, that saturation point, then the five days is just keeping it there, keeping it there, right? And what's the other benefit though? So the five grams after is to benefit the brain because we now know from research that it takes about 10 grams per day for it to get into the brain. Five grams is greedily taken up by muscle. Once you get to pass that to 10 grams, it gets into the brain. And there's research showing that there's benefits in the brain, particularly if your brain is stressed, like sleep deprivation, you know, any sort of neurodegenerative disease, or I like to extrapolate and say just the chronic stresses of daily life.

I flew across the world to Germany to spend a week at one of Germany's top medical resorts, and honestly, it was unlike anything I've ever experienced. This is Buff Medical Resort. The resort sits right up against Lake Constance, and it's so peaceful. Everywhere you look is just beautiful. Beautiful views, fresh air and nature. Environment really just embodies healing. And at the same time, they have some of the most advanced testing and medical technology I've ever seen. One of the biggest parts of the experience was following the Meyer diet. It was actually really interesting because they teach that digestion starts in the mouth, not in your stomach. This was the hardest thing for me to get used to. We had to slow down, eat without distractions, and chew every single bite around 40 times. It sounds crazy at first, but after a few days, you realize how fast we normally eat without even thinking about it. There were tea stations all over the resort. I swear I was constantly grabbing cup of tea. And then they had the alkaline broth. I don't know what was in. It was so good, it tasted like chicken noodle soup. The whole week was completely personalized. We did a ton of testing to get a better picture of what was actually going on in our bodies. And every day we'd meet with our doctors to over results and adjust treatment plan based off of what they were finding. Treatments every Day look different. I did massages daily, abdominal treatments, colon hydrotherapy, sauna sessions, and apheresis, which is basically where they filter your blood through a machine to remove certain inflammatory substances before for returning it back to your body. We literally had a sauna in our room, so we were doing the sauna every single night. It was just so detoxifying. We did osteopathy, the lymphatic massages, and then their gym was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. They had machines telling you your metabolic age, and then all the machines remembered your height, your position of everything, the weight that you would use. So it just made working out so much easier. At the end of the week, I felt like I had Learned so much, not just about my health, but about how my body actually works. And honestly, one of the biggest surprises was Jace's results. We definitely found some things we weren't expecting. I'm so excited to share more of everything we learn, go through all of our test results with you guys, and hopefully come back again someday, because this experience was seriously incredible.

First words spoken
What happens: Scientist shows evidence that gray hair can turn dark again
This is incontrovertible evidence that graying of hair is reversible and it can be pretty fast. Wow. And there's more. So, we all walk around with our biological history encoded in your hair. Like, for example, if you have marijuana 6 months ago, it's going to be in your hair. He's got a haircut. I'm joking. So, my research lab had the idea that if we could find what was happening in this person's life when this young hair become old, then we could understand the mechanism of the aging process. So, what is the secret to anti-aging? It's the proper allocation of energy. Can you Can you How What's the simplest way you can explain that to me? So, first, energy is real and it's the difference between feeling like you can change the world or feeling completely drained. And a lot of people live on that end of the spectrum. And it's because there's a finite energy budget with a hierarchy of energy needs in the body. For example, we did an experiment because we wanted to know how much energy does it cost to worry about the future, to ruminate about yesterday. And we found that the stress hormone increased energy expenditure by 60%. percent Right? It needs to steal energy from some of the things that keep you young. So, it's not the stress that burns us down. It's the response to stress. And the third piece is this, energy is in your mitochondria. And there's about 5,000 trillion mitochondria in your body. And so, they made our bodies possible and they can change how you feel. Well, I read that studies on brains of dead people found that those with greater sense of purpose have more efficient mitochondria. Yes. We are really in service of the mitochondria. They allow us to be alive. Okay, I've got so many questions for you based on what people wanted to know. Like, how patients with ME, chronic fatigue, or long COVID safely rehabilitate their mitochondria. What I consume, how does that impact the efficiency of the energy? If red light therapy impacts mitochondria, and is there anything I can do to have more energy available? But before that, I've heard you say that most diseases or disorders can be explained by understanding energy resistance. Yeah. We think there's increased energy resistance in cancer and Alzheimer's. Like fundamentally, diabetes is a disease of energy resistance. So, is there anything I can do? There is. So, you can start by

You want to eat this every single day. If you want to clean out the arteries and prevent plaque from building up. And even if you have plaque, what I'm going to share with you will actually help not just minimize the plaque, but reverse the plaque. The biggest confusion that people have with heart attacks is that heart attack is caused by the artery filling up with plaque. That is absolutely not what happens. What typically happens is you have a small amount of plaque, but it's a certain type of plaque. There's hard plaque, which has been calcified. It's more stable. And then you have soft plaque, which is very unstable. You literally can have even 20% of the plaque that builds up right here, and then it ruptures. And then what happens is your immune system comes in and creates a clotting reaction, and the clot creates the heart attack. But what is this remedy that we need to talk about that can help to reverse the soft plaque? Here it is right here. Aged garlic extract. Now, this is really interesting because there's two randomized controlled trials with aged garlic. And they found that it not just stabilized the situation, it reduced the soft plaque.

What happens: Creator lists the five supplements he would take for life, starting with creatine
If I could only take five supplements for the rest of my life, here's exactly what I'd take. First up is creatine. It's the most studied supplement out there. It helps you build muscle, get stronger, lose fat, and even improve focus and memory. Just make sure the label says Creapure. That's the high quality stuff made in Germany. Next is magnesium. Don't waste your money on magnesium oxide because your body barely absorbs it. Instead, look for either magnesium glycinate or magnesium 3inate. They're way better absorbed and they help with recovery, sleep, and testosterone production. Third is vitamin D3 with K2. You want to take them together because vitamin D3 helps your body absorb calcium and the K2 make sure that calcium goes into your bones and not your arteries. Fourth is fish oil. Most people do not get enough omega-3s and this can mess with your joints, your heart health, and even your mood. When you buy it, make sure you check the label for EPA and DHA. You want at least 500 to 1,000 millig combined per serving. And last one, electrolytes. These are huge for energy, hydration, and muscle function. Go for one that gives you around 3,000 mg of sodium, 3,000 potassium, and 300 magnesium. And yeah, all this helps, but remember that supplements don't replace good training and nutrition. So follow me for more value like this.

“The most dangerous food for your body is not bacon.”
First words spoken
What happens: Dr. Berg says hexane processed seed oils are the most dangerous food
The most dangerous food for your body is not bacon. It's not egg yolks and it's definitely not red meat. It's sitting in your kitchen right now and it gets physically stuck to your liver, your brain and your nerves. This food is processed with a solvent called hexane, the same chemical found in gasoline. Because if they don't process it, you will taste the rancidity and you will not be able to consume it. But in the process of refining it, you're adding a lot of oxygen, chemicals and heat, which creates an oxidized product. So by the time it hits the grocery store, you're consuming something that is like highly refined. And on top of that, when you consume it, whether you heat it or not, it goes in your body and it can get stored in your fat cells and then you can actually burn it as fuel. The burning of fuel re-oxidizes it, creating additional byproducts that then end up causing inflammation in your body. Not to mention, they get embedded in your cell membranes creating other problems. So you really need to avoid them. And unfortunately it takes like 600 days to get it out of your body. So it doesn't come out fast. They are very, very fragile, very sensitive. They break down really fast, especially when exposed to oxygen, heat or light. And this is why when you go to a fast food restaurant, you're consuming food that has been reheated in this over and over and over for weeks, sometimes months. And every time it's reheated, there's more toxic byproducts that build up that end up in your body and create more problems. And I'm talking about seed oils like canola, corn, soy, cotton seed oil, sunflower seed oil, safflower oil. So out of all the things that junk food creates in your body, the bad effects from reheated seed oils are the worst.

If I had to guess, you guys are most likely aging because you use words like depresso stresso. But if Gen Z really wants to know, there is a scientific reason why you guys aging faster than millennials. Millennials are the only generation of people that lived during the ramp up stage. From 1981 to 1996, the world was drastically changing almost every day. So, millennials were taught at a super young age that change is the only thing that's consistent in this world. Now, I know what Gen Z is saying right now to themselves. But millennials lived through 9/11, constant wars, a bunch of financial crises. We did, but you're forgetting our childhoods were the greatest childhoods of all time. We stay looking young because we stay nostalgic. Think about it, in the '80s, we had Saturday morning cartoons. You guys have no idea what it felt like to wake up to this. Or what it felt like to take off on your bike and be two towns over and your parents having no clue. Our parents didn't tell us what time to get home. That was up to the street light. The majority of kids that were born in the '80s were latchkey kids. “5 MORNING HABITS THAT ADD 30 YEARS TO YOUR LIFE AFTER 50”
Words on screen at the start
What happens: Scrolling text list of morning habits claimed to add years after 50
Cat owners are 40% less likely to die of a heart attack. And no, it's not because they exercise more. If you're an older adult or caring for someone who is, here's really what's going on and three things you should know. 1. The University of Minnesota tracked over forty four hundred people for 20 years. The ones who never owned a cat had a 40% higher risk of dying from a heart attack. Why is that? When you pet a cat, your body releases oxytocin, the bonding hormone. Oxytocin shuts down cortisol, which is your stress hormone, and flips your body into rest and digest. Your heart rate drops, your blood vessels relax. Do that daily for years and you're quietly guarding your heart. 2. In a separate trial, you know stockbrokers who were hypertensive were all put on a medication and half of them also adopted a pet. Six months later, under stress, the pet owners blood pressure spiked only as half as much as the drug only group. So the pill lowered their resting blood pressure, but only the pets blunted the stress spike. A 2022 review found that cat owners were 42% less likely to have a high blood pressure at all. 3. Listening to a cat's purr measurably slows your heart rate, drops your blood pressure, and lowers your cortisol. A purr sits at between 25 to 50 hertz, the exact frequency band sometimes used in vibration therapy on humans to ease joint pain, calm Inflammation and rebuild bone. It's also the same frequency that made postmenopausal women gain hip density on a therapy platform. But one caveat, you know, no study has ever put that purring cat to test directly. So it's a directional signal, but not proof. If you're caring for someone that's aging at home, or you're an older adult yourself, here's why all of this matters. Chronic stress and loneliness are two of the quietest threats to anyone that's aging. And a purring cat pushes back on both of those all at once. It might be the easiest thing you can add to your day. Follow along for science backed ways to protect the people you love. And please send this to one person out there whose house could use a little more calm and a little more fun.

“What if I told you that the way you start your morning could be making you look older, feel older, and aging your body faster without you even noticing?”
First words spoken
What happens: Narrator lists five morning habits that speed up aging and quick fixes
What if I told you that the way you start your morning could be making you look older, feel older, and aging your body faster without you even noticing? Today, I'll show you 5 morning habits that secretly speed up aging and the simple fixes that can reverse the damage. First, skipping water after waking up. Your body goes 7 to 8 hours without hydration and when you skip water in the morning, your skin looks dull, your energy drops and your metabolism slows down. The solution is simple. Drink 1 to 2 glasses of water within the first 5 minutes of waking. Adding a pinch of salt or a squeeze of lemon makes it even more effective. Second, checking your phone before you get out of bed. The bright screen light and incoming notifications spike your stress hormone cortisol, causing tired eyes, wrinkles and mental fatigue. The fix? Keep your phone away from your bed and give yourself 10 to 15 minutes of tech-free time after waking so your brain can wake up naturally. Third, skipping breakfast or only drinking coffee. Running on caffeine alone crashes your blood sugar later, creating fatigue, stress on your cells and even faster skin aging. The easy cure is to have a light balanced breakfast, something simple like a handful of nuts, fruit, yogurt or eggs before your coffee. Fourth, not getting morning sunlight. Without natural light your body clock gets confused, your energy drops, your mood suffers and poor sleep follows which accelerates aging. Spending just 5 to 10 minutes outside or near a sunny window within the first hour of waking is enough to reset your circadian rhythm. Finally, starting your day in stress mode. Rushing, panicking or thinking about your to-do list immediately releases cortisol which breaks down collagen and speeds up aging. The fix is simple. Take 60 seconds of slow deep breathing or say one calm intention like, today I choose peace. This tiny habit lowers stress instantly. Aging isn't just about genetics, it's about your daily habits. Fix these 5 morning mistakes and you'll feel more energetic, think more clearly and start aging slower from the inside out.

Supplements and leg strengthBy @williamhealthinsight
“Take these three vitamins daily before bed to strengthen your legs.”
First words spoken
What happens: Long talk on three bedtime vitamins for leg strength in older adults.
Take these three vitamins daily before bed to strengthen your legs. You've been misled. Older adults are often told that leg weakness is just a natural part of aging. But that is not the full truth. The real cause is a silent deficiency in three essential vitamins your body needs before sleep to rebuild leg strength. And here's what no one is telling you. These nutrients are cheap, natural, and not profitable. That's why you don't see them in commercials and most doctors don't talk about them. But the science is clear. 1 missing vitamin increases leg cramps by 42%, delays muscle repair by 37%, and triples your risk of falling after age 60. The first vitamin I will reveal today has been shown to boost strength by 31%. Yet most seniors don't take it. Why? Because there is no profit in addressing the real root cause. And when these nutrients are missing, your muscles cannot recover, your nerves cannot communicate, and your legs, your foundation, begin to break down. Recent studies show that seniors who take these specific vitamins at night experience faster muscle repair, reduced leg pain, and even better balance within just days. In this video, we will reveal the three most important vitamins every person over 60 must take before bed to rebuild leg strength. Quickly ranked from least powerful to most powerful based on shocking new research. All information in this video is fully research backed and every reference is LinkedIn the description below. So You can verify it yourself. Before we begin, let us know in the comments. Where you watching from, how old are you, and what vitamins are you currently taking daily? We reply to every comment with personalized suggestions, so don't hold back. This is your chance to get real answers based on your age, your routine, and what your legs truly need. Now let's begin with the first vitamin on the list, which most seniors are barely getting. No. 3 vitamin B12. Most seniors have heard of vitamin B12, but very few realize how critical it is for strong legs, stable movement, and overnight muscle repair. Vitamin B12 is like a power line that keeps your muscles and nerves connected. And when it runs low, your legs start to fail, not only due to muscle loss, but because communication between your brain and legs begins to break down. Over time. This leads to weakness, then imbalance, and eventually dangerous falls. The problem is that after age 60, your body becomes very poor at absorbing vitamin B12 from food. It's not your fault. As you age, your stomach produces less hydrochloric acid, which is needed to release B12 from protein. Even if you eat plenty of eggs, fish, or meat, your gut may still fail to extract what your muscles and nerves desperately need. In fact, the National Institutes of health reports that up to 43% of people over 60 have low or borderline B12 levels, many without even knowing it. The symptoms appear slowly. First, numbness in the feet, then tingling, then stiffness in the calves, and eventually knees that buckle when you try to stand. Why does this happen? Because B12 is essential for building and maintaining the myelin sheath, a protective layer around your nerves. Without enough B12, these nerves begin to deteriorate. And when the nerves controlling your legs are damaged, your brain signals can't get through properly. That's why many seniors with B12 deficiency show symptoms similar to early Parkinson's disease or diabetic neuropathy. Slowness, unstable gait, foot dragging, and worsening night time leg cramps. A 2017 study published in Neurology followed 2,500 seniors and found that those with low B12 levels were nearly three times more likely to develop walking difficulties and had a 60% higher risk of falls. But the most important factor is timing. Your nervous system repairs itself during sleep. This is when your body rebuilds damaged nerve tissue, resets muscle signaling, and runs nightly recovery processes in your legs. If B12 is not available during this window, your nerves miss the opportunity to recover. That's why taking vitamin B12 before bed can make a real difference. It delivers the nutrient into your bloodstream when your body is most ready to rebuild. And unlike stimulants like caffeine, B12 supports calm, stable brain function. It won't keep you awake. In fact, some seniors report deeper, more restorative sleep when taking it at night. Now let's talk about forms. Not all B12 is equal. The most effective form for seniors is methylcobalamin, which your body can use immediately, especially if you have digestive issues. Sublingual tablets that dissolve under the tongue work best. They bypass the gut and go directly into the bloodstream. If you rely only on standard pills or multivitamins, you may still be deficient. And how fast does it work? Clinical data shows that seniors who restore B12 levels experience improved muscle control, faster nerve response, and stronger leg contractions within just 10 to 14 days. One case study even found that a senior who could not walk unassisted for more than 10 minutes regained full mobility after six weeks of daily B12 therapy. These are not miracle stories. This is simply nutritional science applied at the right time. So if your legs feel slow, numb, or stiff, if you notice twitching at night or poor balance while walking, restore it by correcting your B12. It's not just a supplement, it's a signal. And the longer your nerves go without it, the harder it becomes to restore full strength. Now let's move to vitamin No. 2, a nighttime nutrient that actively fuels muscle growth and has been shown to reverse leg weakness in just two weeks of bedtime use. No.2, vitamin D3. This one may surprise you. Vitamin D3 is known as the sunshine vitamin, and most people think it is only important for bones. But after age 60, D3 becomes one of the most powerful tools your body has. For building and protecting muscle, especially in the legs. And if you are not taking it before bed, you are wasting a critical recovery window. Here is why this matters more than ever. More than 70% of seniors are deficient in vitamin D3 without even knowing it. But the science is clear. Low vitamin D3 directly leads to weaker legs, slower muscle recovery, and a higher risk of frequent falls. Let's break this down. Vitamin D3 is not just about Calcium or sunlight. It plays a direct role in muscle protein synthesis, the process your body uses to build and repair muscle fibers. After age 60, your body's ability to rebuild muscle after daily use declines significantly. That's why you may walk around the house all day and still wake up sore the next morning. But when vitamin D3 levels are low, this rebuilding process slows down even further. That's when sarcopenia begins. The age related loss of muscle mass which affects the legs first. Your thighs, calves and glutes gradually start to weaken. You may not notice it at first, but you will feel it. Getting up becomes harder, climbing stairs become slower, standing for long period.

“I'm about to go into the gym, but first I want to address the elephant in the room, and that is creatine.”
First words spoken
What happens: Woman outside the gym gives three reasons she takes creatine.
I'm about to go into the gym, but first I want to address the elephant in the room, and that is creatine. I get so many questions about creatine. What it is. Should you take it? Would it make you bulky? Whatever. We're about to address it, baby. Okay, so I got my energy. Get yours, get your pencil, get your paper, and let's talk about it. I'm gonna give you three reasons why I take it. Reason number one is because it also helps with your brain and not just your muscles. Your brain actually uses the same exact systems that your, that your muscles do to grab energy. So your brain uses that same energy form, and if you're supplying it with creatine, it helps clear that fog, helps you mentally and cognitively throughout your day and handling tasks. Reason number two, and I want to preface this with, you're not gonna get bulky. What it is doing is your cells are actually pulling water into them, so your muscles will get more full or fill out more, getting that toned look. But it's not gonna be bulky. You may see yourself gain one or two pounds, and that's from the extra water weight, but it's not gonna be super bad or super like where you look like a man. But you do need to take a lot of water when you're taking it, because like I said, the cells are pulling water into them, so they need Water to pull from. So that's why they say drink water when you're taking creatine. And reason number three is because we're getting older, y'all, I know we don't like to talk about the whole aging thing, but we are. We're getting older. And as you get older, you lose muscle, you lose bone density, and creatine can help support all of those. So overall, is it healthy to take? Yes. Creatine is actually one of the most research supplements out there. It's especially good for women because we actually store, I think it's between 70 and 80% less creatine than men do. So I highly recommend it. I take it every day. Five grams. I love the Creatine Fizz Stick one because I used to just take the plain powder and dry scoop it. I don't know, I was tripping. But now we have this candy, basically candy tasting one, and it's so good. I recommend it. I think you should go take it if you want to. There's a link in my bio. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer any of them. Please feel free to ask.

What happens: Dr. Berg, 61, says glycine deficiency is the anti-aging advice he wishes he had
I am 61 years old and I want to give you the best advice that I wish I knew in my 40s. And most people don't know this and this has nothing to do with avoiding starch, sugar or seed oil or missing a workout. It's something much stranger. It's actually a nutrient deficiency and it's classified as non-essential and I'm going to tell you why that is because it actually is very essential and there's really no RDA on this at all. But based on some hardcore data, we need like 15 grams per day. Our body makes three grams. In our diet, most people get between 1.5 and 2 grams and that leaves us in the red or in the hole by 10 grams of this nutrient every single day. And it's classified as non-essential merely because the body makes it. Any amino acid that the body makes is considered non-essential, but they never asked to how much do you actually need. And here's what you need to know. You don't get a lot when you eat meat, eggs, fish. Long ago, our ancestors consumed animals nose to tail. Now we don't eat nose to tail. We do eat meat, but it's very tender so it doesn't have a lot of collagen. An average tender steak is like between one to two, maybe 3% collagen. So it's a very tiny amount of collagen, but 30% of all of our body protein is collagen. So the question is, where are we getting our collagen? We're not. I'm going to tell you right now 95% of adults are running on a shortage of this amino acid chronically. So what is this nutrient? Glycine.

What happens: Sleep doctor explains why people wake at 3am and what to do
What are the most popular questions people come to you with as a sleep doctor? There's three biggies. Number one is what do I do if I fall asleep okay and I wake up in the middle of the night and I can't fall back asleep. And you can help people with that? Absolutely. The second question is what pillow should I buy? And I'm going to walk you through which pillows make sense for which people. And then another one that people ask me all the time is what's the best time to have sex? And let me explain why. So I've been an actively practicing sleep specialist for 26 years. I take care of people's sleep problems like apnea and insomnia. And I'm really interested in the things that you might be doing right now that are messing up your sleep that are easy to fix. So for example, most people don't know that they have a genetic sleep code inside them called their chronotype which decides when your brain releases things like melatonin, cortisol, adrenaline and dopamine. And so I can show you based on your chronotype when it's bedtime but also the perfect time of day to do almost any activity including the perfect time to have coffee and alcohol. Crazy. There's even data to show that your ability to understand complicated concepts improves when you're more in line with your chronotype. Now there are three known chronotypes but what I'm famous for is discovering a fourth one which I think it might be you. So we're going to talk a lot about that. We're also going to talk about dreams because dreams can tell you things about yourself that you may not want to know. And then there's how to fix jet lag, whether you should sleep with a TV on, the truth about melatonin supplementation and my favorite way to get magnesium. But before we get into all of that, shall we go and look at the best possible sleep position? Yeah, let's check it out.
Aging after 60 (muscle loss)By @nealkshah
“You've probably seen it happen. Someone in their 60s or 70s is doing just fine, staying active, independent, and sharp.”
First words spoken
What happens: Doctor explains why healthy 60-year-olds suddenly slow down, and the habits that help.
You've probably seen it happen. Someone in their 60s or 70s is doing just fine, staying active, independent, and sharp. But then seemingly within months, they're suddenly weaker, more frail, and a totally different person. It feels sudden and mysterious, but it usually isn't. There's a real reason behind it, and knowing it could protect you or someone you love. So let's get right into it. That sudden decline is rarely just aging. It's almost always triggered by a single event, like a fall, an illness, a surgery, or a hospital stay. The bigger danger is what follows, days, sometimes weeks, of lying still. When an older adult stops moving, even for a few days, they lose muscle at a shocking rate. Studies show that a person over 65 on bed rest can lose up to 5% of their muscle mass in a single day, and up to 15% of their leg strength in a single week. A younger person barely notices missing a week of activity, but for an older body, that same week can be totally devastating. Doctors call it the cascade to dependency, an illness that puts the older person in bed. The bed rest melts their muscle. Weaker muscles mean they can't walk as steadily, so they move even less. Less movement means more weakness, plus higher risk of falls, confusion, and new problems. So each step in that makes the next one worse. And that's how someone who seemed perfectly healthy suddenly ends up frail, or even in a nursing home, just within a few months. The good news is that these things are often preventable. The single most important thing is to keep moving, especially during and right after a major illness or hospital stay. If you or a loved one is in the hospital, ask the staff, is it safe to get up and walk today? Sitting in a chair is better than lying in a bed, and walking is better than sitting. And the best protection is to build up your strength before anything happens. The stronger you are now, the more muscle you can afford to lose if a major illness hits before it turns serious. That's really what strength training does for you as you age. It gives you a reserve to fall back on when your body takes an unexpected hit. So don't wait. Keep moving, stay strong, and then if a loved one ends up in the hospital, get them up and walking as soon as it's safe. Follow along for more on aging well, and please share this with someone out there who has an aging parent or is over age 60 themselves.

“A lot of people they wake up at like 2:00 or 3:00 a.m.”
First words spoken
What happens: Sleep expert gives a trick for falling back asleep after waking at night
A lot of people they wake up at like 2:00 or 3:00 a.m. in the morning, they don't know how to get back to bed, they start worrying. Best way to fall back asleep, you need to stop thinking about your body position. There's a dedicated circuit between your eyes, their movements, and your cerebellum. This guy back here. It's involved in balance, it's involved in learning. You need to kind of turn off your recognition of your own limbs to fall asleep. How do you do that? It turns out there's a pattern of eye movement that can shut down the proprioceptive circuits in the cerebellum, make you forget your limb position, and it greatly facilitates the speed at which you fall back asleep. You're going to close your eyes. Great. You're going to move your eyes slowly to one side underneath your eyelids, then to the other side, Uh-huh. then up, then down. Now you're going to move them counterclockwise in a circle-ish, and then clockwise in a circle-ish. And now still with your eyes closed, you're going to kind of point them towards your nostrils, you're not going to cross your eyes, and you're going to do a long exhale. Great. That done two or three times generally has people waking up the next morning and like, "Wild. What happens?" What happened is your proprioceptive circuits are shut down. That's kind of fun to do, and you'll see, and it costs nothing, and it generally works. Some people, if they're really, really stressed, it might not work, but this is what I do if I wake up in the middle of the night. I usually go to the bathroom, get back in bed, do long exhale breathing, and I do that, and I wake up the next morning. It really works well, and you fall right asleep.

What happens: Bryan Johnson lays out a weekly strength and zone two plan for 2026
Look, we all want to be hot and jacked, but heavy lifting is not the only thing that matters. In fact, the right combination of training can lower your risk of death by up to 42%. So, here are a few tips to make 2026 your best year in the gym. You want to start by aiming for six sessions of exercise per week. Three strength training sessions and three cardio sessions. For cardio, target 150 minutes of zone two exercise. That's a level of exercise where you can still maintain a normal conversation. Like this or this. On top of that, you want to get 75 minutes of vigorous exercise. Things like high intensity interval training or sprints. These are exercises where talking is difficult. Combining moderate and vigorous activity is key to achieving longevity benefits. It's also key to include mobility, flexibility, and balance into your weekly routine. This will keep your body resilient and injury-free long-term. And if you're going to work out, avoid high intensity exercise within 6 hours of bed. And moderate to high intensity within 4 hours of bedtime. It can wreck your sleep and recovery. Friends, the most important thing is consistency. Build an exercise habit and then do it every single day. The science is very clear, being active in whatever way you can is one of the very best things you can do for your health.

“Here are four things that I would never do as a doctor focused on longevity, and a couple of things might surprise you because they're things that people actually do trying to be healthier.”
First words spoken
What happens: Longevity doctor lists four things he never does, starting with neck cracking
Here are four things that I would never do as a doctor focused on longevity, and a couple of things might surprise you because they're things that people actually do trying to be healthier. And number one is I never forcefully crack my neck, and I don't let anyone else do it either. A sudden forceful twist, or even having your head tip way back in the sink like at a hair salon, can tear the inner lining of one of your arteries running up your neck to your brain. And that's called a dissection, and it can send a clot to your brain and cause a stroke even in healthy and young people. And in rare worst cases, it can cause locked-in syndrome where someone can be fully awake, but unable to move anything except their eyes. So, if my neck is stiff, I just stretch it gently, but I wouldn't let anyone forcefully twist or crack or manipulate it. And number two is I don't spend hours around loud music or loud noises without protecting my ears. And I was definitely guilty of that when I was younger, music turned all the way up in my earbuds or going to loud concerts or football stadiums, especially college football. But, hearing loss is one of the biggest and preventable risk factors for dementia. Even mild hearing loss is tied to about double the risk of dementia, and severe hearing loss up to five times the risk. And it doesn't take long, a concert or a college football game can easily hit 100 decibels, and at that level, damage can set in in about 15 minutes. So, what I do now is I just bring earplugs to loud events. You can still hear things, but it minimizes the damage. And number three is I don't do cold plunges, and that includes dunking my face into ice water, uh which has become a popular way to reset your nervous system. And that's because sudden cold immersion like that activates two very powerful but opposing responses in your body. The first one is the cold shock response, which makes your heart race and your blood pressure spike. And on the opposing side, you have your diving response, which does the opposite and slows your heart down. And when both happen at the same time, it's called autonomic conflict, and that electrical tug-of-war can trigger abnormal heart rhythms, including something like atrial fibrillation that can predispose people to strokes and other dangerous heart rhythms that can be rapidly fatal. Now, brief and supervised cold exposure is usually well tolerated if you're healthy and fit, and there may be some benefits of gradual cold exposure, but if you have heart disease or high blood pressure or heart rhythm issues like long QT, the risk can be much higher. And the problem is a lot of people don't know if they have one of those, so they don't know if they're high risk. So, the way I see it is whatever potential benefit I may get, the risk, even though extremely small, is just not worth it. And number four is I don't take green tea extract. Now, I talk about green tea all the time in my videos, and I'm a huge fan, but the concentrated extract is a completely different animal. Those pills cram in mega doses of catechins, the antioxidants in green tea, and when they're concentrated like that, they can start injuring your liver. And in some people, they've caused liver failure that needed a transplant. So, my advice is drink the actual tea, but I would skip the concentrated extract.

What happens: Bryan Johnson says 10 air squats every 45 minutes beat a power walk
I have been squatting too long on this information. I need to share it. Your 30-minute power walk is less effective than 10 air squats. Yes, I really said it. A randomized controlled trial just found that doing 10 squats every 45 minutes outperforms a dedicated 30-minute walk by 14% specifically for blood sugar control after a meal. Here's how it works. Your quadriceps and glutes are the largest glucose sponge in your body. Every time you activate them, they pull sugar out of your bloodstream to use as fuel. Doing that repeatedly throughout the day clears more glucose than one sustained effort. The 30-minute walk isn't wrong, it just is not as effective. This isn't about working harder, it's about working smarter in smaller doses more often. Your blood sugar doesn't care how long your workout was, it just wants you to get off that ass. Get off that ass. Just just just just get off that ass. Get off that ass and move.

What happens: Doctor names his top foods for slowing aging, starting with fatty fish
Listen to this. What are the top foods to eat for slowing aging, extending lifespan, and fighting disease? That's a great question. I think the top three foods would be fatty fish and shellfish. Shellfish are not I mean, most people think of shrimp, right? Or maybe lobster, but I'm talking about bivalves, which is a weird name, but it's like muscles, clams, oysters. Super nutrient-dense, dark green leafy vegetables like kale, spinach, etc. And organ meats like liver, heart, kidney.
Senior strengthBy @fitnesswherever

What happens: Coach demonstrates one exercise to stand up in one try.
It takes multiple tries to stand. This one exercise will change that. Hi, I'm Ryan, and I help seniors 55 and older get stronger, leaner, and move better from home with no gym and minimal equipment. Now, if you want more tips like this to keep you independent and strong, hit that follow button. So here's what's really going on. When it takes you multiple tries to stand up from a chair, your legs and hips have quietly lost strength. Most people don't realize how much strength they've lost until something like this starts happening. But here's the good news. You can rebuild it. And it doesn't take a gym or a bunch of fancy equipment. It takes one exercise done consistently. So if this is hitting home for you, save this. You can come back to it. So the exercise is called a slow chair sit, and it works because it directly strengthens the exact muscles that you need to stand up smoothly and confidently in one go. Your quads, your glutes, your hips. So send this to someone who needs to see it. Maybe a parent, a friend, or a spouse. Now here's what it looks like from seated. Lean forward, tighten your stomach, and stand up normally. If needed, use your hands and push off the armrests. Lower yourself back down super slow, using your arms as needed, taking a full five to eight seconds on the way down. As slow as you can handle. Try to Control all of it, even the last few inches before your rear touches the seat. That's one rep. Start with two to three reps every day. Do one set in the morning and another in the evening if you're really motivated. Over time you'll increase the reps to five or six, and after a few weeks, you won't even need to use your arms anymore. Comment below if you're going to try this today. So that's how you stop needing multiple tries to stand. Just one exercise, stronger legs and hips, and you're back to getting up in one go. Share this with someone who's struggling to get up from a chair. They need to see this.

What happens: Dr. Berg at 60 walks his farm carrying buckets, showing his daily routine
How old can you actually get before you die? When you hear someone say they died of old age, that's actually impossible. Nobody can die from old ages, they die from age-related diseases. Most old people die of heart failure, cancer, or respiratory diseases. The problem is that these diseases cannot be cured. What if they can? Or what if one of your organs failed and we replace it like we replace a battery? Most scientists actually claim that the maximum age any human can live is 120 years old. And no, bro, I'm not that old yet. Your body actually repairs itself as you age, but when you get older, the DNA loses its ability to multiply itself. This means that your body isn't able to repair itself like it used to, so it starts to fail. But now scientists are working on a treatment to slow down aging or actually even reverse it. Even Russia is close to making an anti-aging vaccine. If they succeed, this means that you can live the healthiest parts of your life for longer. The goal is to actually push the human age to 200 years old without looking like your dead grandma. Imagine you go to date with somebody and they say, "Hey, I'm 150 years old." But the reality is that this would change everything from our society to our biochemistry. So let me ask you, are you willing to take that risk?

What happens: Doctor explains why walking speed predicts how long you live.
How fast you walk is one of the strongest predictors of how long you'll live. Walking speed is a measure of physical performance in older adults. Studies have shown that faster walking speed lowers your risk of dying. People who walk more slowly are at higher risk of dying. You can improve your walking speed by doing resistance training to strengthen your legs. I'm a professor at UC San Diego. Follow me for more science on longevity and healthy aging.
Longevity trendsBy Paul Saladino MD
“Overrated or underrated? AG1.”
First words spoken
What happens: Paul Saladino rapid fires overrated or underrated on longevity trends, fasting included
Overrated or underrated? AG1. Overrated, full of heavy metals. It's been tested. Eat animal foods, eggs, milk, butter, red meat. That's the real superfoods. Hyperbaric oxygen. Overrated, actually. I'm not convinced these are helpful for humans. The studies are concerning. I don't think you're actually lengthening the telomeres. You're just killing off the cells that have the shortest telomeres. And those cells actually serve a valuable role for humans. Fasting. Fasting is overrated. It's creating a lot of stress. Cortisol, glucagon, catecholamines. The best fast is between dinner and breakfast in the morning. But I eat breakfast first thing in the morning when I wake up. I'm going to give about two hours before I go to sleep to finish my dinner. Olive oil. Properly rated. As long as you're getting organic, cold-pressed, single source in a glass bottle that is opaque and you're not heating it. Mouth taping. Mouth taping, properly rated. A lot of people benefit from taping their mouth. You don't want to mouth breathe while you're sleeping.

What happens: Bryan Johnson explains why he takes tadalafil daily for blood flow and longevity
The same pills men use to perform better in bed I use every day as a longevity medicine. Cialis, also known as Tidalifil, works in bed for the same reason it may work for longevity, blood flow. Your body uses nitric oxide to relax your arteries. Tidalifil makes that signal last longer which improves circulation and I'm not talking about down there. Studies have linked Tidalifil to a 34% reduction in all-cause mortality, 27% reduction in major heart disease, and a significant reduction in stroke and dementia. Those are some girthy numbers. Now friends, I want to be clear this is not medical advice it's something that I use in my personal protocol and it's a great reminder that just because something is taboo doesn't mean it's not effective. Yes it's packaged for your package but I'm using it for my lifespan.

Multiple alarms. Leave it. Every snooze makes you more tired, not less. A cold shower. Love it. Morning juice or smoothie. Leave it. Liquid sugar first thing, spikes your blood sugar immediately. Morning sunlight. Oh, I love this. Scrolling in bed. Leave it. You are spiking your cortisol before your body's even ready. Protein first thing. Love it. Your body has been breaking down muscle all night. Coffee the moment you wake up. Leave it. A morning walk. Mm-hmm. Love that. Stretching the second you wake up. Definitely leave this. Your joints are cold and dry. Warm up first.
Supplement stackBy Sean Nalewanyj
“I've wasted a disgusting amount of money on supplements over the past 25 years, but here are six that I still take regularly.”
First words spoken
What happens: Fitness creator lists six supplements still worth the money, magnesium first
I've wasted a disgusting amount of money on supplements over the past 25 years, but here are six that I still take regularly. 1. Magnesium. It plays an important role in energy production, muscle function, sleep recovery. Around half of people don't get enough from their diet and hard training can increase your requirements further. Just make sure to skip magnesium oxide and go with a better absorbed form like citrate or glycinate. 2. Creatine. Obviously. It boosts strength, lean body mass, and even appears to have some interesting cognitive benefits. Take around 5-10 grams per day depending on your body weight and stick to basic creatine monohydrate. The overpriced advanced versions aren't any better. 3. Fish oil. It supports cardiovascular health, helps regulate inflammation, and some research even shows improvements in training performance and recovery. Around 2-3 grams of combined EPA and DHA per day is a solid target, so make sure you're checking those on the label and not just the total amount of fish oil. 4. Vitamin D. It's important for immune function, bone health, and normal testosterone production, and if you spend most of your day indoors or don't get much direct sunlight, you're at a much higher risk of running low. 5. Protein. It technically isn't even a supplement since it's a natural component of dairy, but whey is one of the highest quality protein sources you can get and helps you hit your daily protein target more easily. Casein, egg, and plant-based powders can all work too, but whey is my go-to for overall taste and texture. 6. Pre-workout. It can improve overall energy and focus especially on days where you're more fatigued. Just be careful with high-stim formulas since they can leave you jittery and actually hurt your focus plus interfere with sleep later. In pure form, we use a moderate caffeine dose paired with alfionine for a steadier, more dialed-in feel, but whichever pre-workout you use, just remember that more isn't always better.
Exercise for longevityBy Coach Blue
“Modern life is making your body old before it actually is.”
First words spoken
What happens: Coach argues hybrid training, not just lifting, keeps your body young
Modern life is making your body old before it actually is. Think about it with me family. We have designed our lives to require almost no physical capability. We sit at a desk all day. We drive everywhere. We take elevators. We barely climb, sprint, jump, crawl, rotate, and move through full ranges of motion anymore. And then we go to the gym. And a lot of us train the exact same movement patterns over and over again with one main goal. Left more weights and build bigger muscles. There is nothing wrong with building muscle. You should be strong. Absolutely, I agree. But muscles alone don't make you physically complete, my friend. Because if all you ever train is strength and size, what happens to your mobility, your balance, your coordination, your endurance, your ability to rotate, jump, stabilize, react, control your own body. You can spend decades building a body that looks strong while slowly losing the ability to actually move. And then people reach 50 years old with a body that moves like 80, stiff hips, rigid shoulders, bad balance, no endurance, can't comfortably get off the ground, afraid to sprint, afraid to jump. But 50 is young, my friend. You should still be capable. You should still be athletic. You should still be able to explore the world, play with your kids, compete, run, climb, jump, and use your body without constantly worrying about what might hurt next. That's exactly why I believe we need to expand the way that we train. This is what hybrid training is all about. Yes, build muscle, yes, get stronger. But hang from a pull-up bar and use calisthenics. Master your own body weight. Rotate under resistance so your body is strong outside of a straight line. Train through full ranges of motion so you don't slowly lose them. Challenge your stability and balance. Jump, sprint, change direction. Train your reaction time and to move fast. Build a powerful core at the same time. Develop your cardiovascular endurance and keep doing things that remind your body what it was designed to do all alone. Stop training only for what you see in the mirror. Train for the human being that you want to be at 50, 60, 70 years old and even 80. The goal isn't just to have more muscles. The goal is to build a body that never becomes the reason that you have to stop living the life that you want to live.

“7 signs you won't be able to walk when you're older unless you fix them now.”
First words spoken
What happens: Surgeon counts down seven signs you will lose the ability to walk.
7 signs you won't be able to walk when you're older unless you fix them now. No. 7. Your only exercise is walking. It feels like enough, but it never loads your legs enough to keep the muscle holding you up. No.6. You can't stand on one leg for more than 10 seconds. The one test predicts who keeps their independence and who will lose it. No. 5 you push off your thighs to stand up. That means that your legs can't lift you alone anymore, and that gap only will grow. No. 4. Your grip has gotten so weak. Grip tracks your whole body, so weak hands usually mean weak legs. No. 3. You plan your day around stairs when your brain avoids them on its own. The strength is already slipping. No. 2. Your walking has gotten slower. Doctors treat walking speed like a vital sign for losing your agility later. Number one you sit most of the day. Every hour sitting is an hour. Your legs aren't holding you up, and that's the fastest way to lose your strength. You need to use them. But every one of these can be turned around at almost any age because you're not breaking down, you're just under training.
Walking and lifespanBy @nealkshah
“Your daily morning walk might be the most powerful thing you can do to live longer.”
First words spoken
What happens: Narrated explainer on how daily morning walks may add years of life.
Your daily morning walk might be the most powerful thing you can do to live longer. A 2024 study in the British Journal of Sports Medicine estimated that walking more could add as much as 11 years to your life, especially if you're over the age of 50 or caring for an aging parent or a spouse who is. Here's three things you should know. First, you can let go of that 10,000 step rule, because that figure was never really based on medicine and began as a 1965 marketing slogan for a Japanese pedometer. A 2025 review of 53 studies in the Lancet found that most of the Protection against early death and chronic disease appears at around 7 thousand steps per day. And a Harvard study published in JAMA found that in older women, the the death rate began dropping at just forty four hundred steps. So if your fitness tracker has been making you feel like a failure every evening, you can stop because you are likely already doing enough. Second, how fast you walk, that may actually matter even more than how far you go. Researchers at the university of Leicester studied more than 400,000 people and found that brisk walking carried cellular markers of aging that looked as much as 16 years younger. However, that finding reflects a lifetime of brisk walking, and it's measured in your cells rather than in your appearance. But the practical takeaway is still simple, though. If you can talk, But not quite. Sing while you walk. You're moving briskly enough to count. And third, this matters the most for caregivers. A study from George Washington University found that three short 15 minute walks taken after meals controlled blood sugar just as well as a single 45 minute walk. And the walk after dinner work the best of all. This means that the unhurried stroll that you take, you know, with your loved one after supper is quietly doing double duty, studying their blood sugar and protecting you at the same time. There's also one more thing that almost no one tells you. The largest health gain does not come from pushing yourself, you know, going from, like, 9,000 steps up to 10,000. It comes from going, you know, from barely moving at all to moving a little bit each day. You know, morning Walk is a wonderful anchor if that's what gets you out the door. But the truth is, the best time to walk is simply whenever you'll actually keep doing it. If this change the way you think about, you know, walking and health, follow along because I share a lot of, like, science, fact, longevity, tips, and most importantly, share this with the person you'd want to spend a walk with.
